Ever since iOS 11 and Waze 4.01 and later, Waze does not play well with CarPlay in 2017 Audi A4 MMI. Radio audio does not return after Waze announcements (turn-by-turn or police ahead, etc). Sometimes, you can manually click radio and radio audio will return, but sometimes, it just has dead air.

However, when not in CarPlay (Audi requires Lightning cable) and Waze connected via Blue Tooth, everything works as it should. It's been 9 months and still not working correctly.

I provided Feedback on iOS 11 Betas as well as 12.

Audi is aware of the issue as well and has no fix at this time either. :(

Same issue in my Kia, which also requires a cable to connect via CarPlay. I’ve reported it also. At this point I’m just waiting for the official iOS 12 release and the new version of Waze where it will actually project on the car’s screen. I’m hoping the audio will work properly at that point.

I’ve had weird behavior since at least iOS 11 with Waze and audio on both CarPlay (lightning) and non-CarPlay (bluetooth or USB iPod audio) connections. When switching apps, if Waze is running but not on the phone screen, it suppresses audio playback of podcasts or music. When I switch to Waze on the display, audio continues.

Definitely something screwy there, pre-dating iOS 12. I too am hoping for an update to Waze to integrate with CarPlay and fix these glitches for my car (but probably won’t fix the glitches in my wife’s non-CarPlay bluetooth or USB audio)

If you say that, then it is a bug. Apple probably messes things up quite a bit here, simply because the cover sheet also doubles as the lock screen. Lock screen status size is bigger than normal home screen.
Yes. I think you misread my original post. The lock screen version appears over the normal one when you pull down the cover sheet <1cm and release/flick up. Can you try to reproduce? (Again may be non-notch model only)

I've experienced that as well...and stupid things like opening Instagram would somehow "release" the audio back to the stereo. Not an iOS12 bug, just a Waze/iPhone bug in general IMHO.

All of a sudden, when I open the phone app to try to view missed calls or access the keypad I get a blank screen. Even hard rebooted, same thing.

***EDIT: a few reboots finally fixed it

My 29W Apple charger is not making my iPhone X to beep twice to indicate fast charge. It just beeps once. Apple forcing me to upgrade to 30W one?

It now rarely beeps twice. Anyone with same issue? My battery is at 100% btw.

Its been this way since 11.3.1. There is a thread floating around somewhere. I haven’t gotten the double beep since 11.3.1 on my 8Plus.

It does happen on my iPhone 6s Plus, as shown in this screenshot.

For normal use though, it goes away fast enough that it does not bother me too much. However, given that cover sheet is doubled as lock screen, I still think Apple messes up their design here.

Thank you for the quick response. Really appreciate it. Health/Activity is the only thing I care about. All other data, I couldn't care less.

I'm still having communication issues between my Watch (Series 1) and my iPhone X with this latest beta (began with beta 9, I believe). Messages may or may not show up on my watch. Temperature on watch face often just two dashes.

Oh... And when the communication issue happens, watch battery gives out halfway through the day.

Sometimes I can restore communication by turning watch airplane mode on and back off.

Not sure if it was this beta. But apple added an icon to access camera roll when your in the camera app (via messages app).

It was a frustrating annoyance that forced me to close the camera and tap the ‘new’ area to access camera roll.

I submitted this for feedback a while ago and thankfully they added it, which is awesome.

If I understand what you're saying, I'm not seeing it on my 6 Plus. I see (going from left to right up top): Flash, HDR, Timer and Filters. Moving down, I get Slo-mo, Video, Photo, Square and Pano. Finally, across the bottom I get Cancel, a shutter button and front/rear camera control.

Like I said, it was my 6+, not my X. I understand that there's a lot the 6+ doesn't have. I just can't understand the reasoning behind this particular omission. It's a strange one.

This was from going into Message and clicking on the camera icon.

I have it on my X. Top left corner.

I see it on my 8

That is kinda weird.

There are quite a few things that the 6 Plus doesn't get related to the camera. This is just one more thing. I get not having Mimoji support. But a button to the photo library? That's an odd one. Oh well. This is just a test phone, so it really doesn't matter much to me.

FaceTime is still messed up. I still get dual overlays. It’s like the old interface is below which is still working and the new one is on top. It’s rather annoying. Just behind the dark box you can see a slide to unlock thing.

I see this on my 7, if I start in Messages and click the camera, then I get the photo choice icon in the upper left, which when tapped brings me back to the message with the camera roll open at the bottom, as if I had tapped on the photos icon while in Messages.
I don’t see it in the camera app when I open the camera directly from the home screen.
