But why such a delay between Developer BETA2 and Public BETA1? If they were going to release the same build with the same bugs why not stick with releasing it the day after like they tend to do.

This pretty much kills all hopes for a new BETA release this week.

This gap is to distinguish paid developer to public beta tester which they have been doing for a long time. Dev will always get first dips to test and develop their apps. As more and more betas released maybe around beta 5-6 the gap narrows between them and this is a major release so if something does go horribly wrong they can delay public beta release compared to minor release like 11.4.1 beta 3 yesterday was released for both dev and public beta testers at the same time.

WiFi calls on other devices isn’t working for me. Is it working for others? And EverNote?

Not sure what you're asking about Evernote, however, if you mean the slowness, etc about it, this was sorted with an Evernote update on the app store during Dev Beta 2.

Guys kindly don’t flame. I know this is beta but I really want to try Siri shortcuts. Is is stable enough to do daily stuff like call message WhatsApp surf internet.

Anyone using the app BankID and/or Swish that can confirm if they work with pb 1 (dev 2)?

Anyone has some kind of issue with wireless charging? It happened 2 times in a row that I put the phone on the wireless charger and by the morning it was completely discharged. The phone made the sound shime when putting it on the charger, so it was charging, but by morning it was completely discharged. Anyone?

I’m asking again, is WiFi calling on iPad/Mac working through iPhone? Or is it still disabled?

I was resisting, but decided to install the public beta. Big mistake for me as my HomePod immediately lost connection to my HomeKit and none of my automations worked. Surprising to me that this update would break something like that so easily. Oh well, back to 11.4. No more beta's for me, just not worth it.

My iMessage notifications are not being grouped. Or my Mail notifications for that matter. I haven’t tested others but I expect the same behaviour.

The grouping setting for those two in se Notifications settings is set to Automatic.
Does this sound right?

Anyone have the same experience?

Not much to try on Shortcuts yet (unless you are already a Workflow user, in which case, you’ll be right at home-literally!). For most, this beta is stable enough for general use. I have had some issues where GPS has not functioned well, if at all, though. Other users have had other issues, if you read through this thread.

I had jumped from 11.4 to 11.4 PB due to the excessive battery drain that Photos suddenly began having (and has been reported elsewhere on the forums).

Can anyone confirm if this is resolved in 12 DB2/PB1?

Photos has only had a 2% battery drain for me. I understand it runs an index for the new photos searching feature when you first install the OS but this is done now and there doesn’t seem to be any further significant drain for me.

Sweet. What had triggered it for me on 11.4 was I was out shooting in a low-signal area and posting to Instagram. I noticed my battery level bombed and stats revealed it was Photos itself, not Instagram. Ever since it kept eating my battery. 11.4.1 seemed to fix it.

Another seemingly strange bug was photos would be decidedly 'jpeged' for a good while after shooting them, in the camera app, in Photos, and in Instagram. After (I guess) Photos settled, they'd be clear as they should be.
[doublepost=1530020365][/doublepost]PB1 inserted a full page between my two homescreens.

Oh, and initially trying to put things back where they belong caused a respring, lol.

I like the layout of News on the iPad, but miss having the weather right on the home page.
