But why such a delay between Developer BETA2 and Public BETA1? If they were going to release the same build with the same bugs why not stick with releasing it the day after like they tend to do.

This pretty much kills all hopes for a new BETA release this week.
Maybe Apple wanted to make sure that the developers would not discover any critical bugs before allowing the vast number public testers to try out the same code.

Quick question, has anyone had an issue where the auto download on music isn’t working? So when you click add, when you have auto download on in settings, it should add and download. But in the beta, I click add and I then have hit the cloud to download. Other than that annoying issue, everything’s been great. Just want to make sure it’s not just me.
I submitted this feedback on beta 1. Haven’t tested since beta 2 came out as I just finally upgraded last night.

Why do you post the same questions in several threads? Annoying….
The whole question is annoying. Some people actually believe that their iPhones battery can perform more than what it’s capable of ... people load their phones with tons of apps that eats battery in the background ... then they blame Apple that there’s something wrong with the iOS etc. etc. ... five minutes after each beta release people start asking for the battery life ... I think there are too many kids and naive teenagers here right now. Sad–really sad! (Sorry, I just had to write this.)

And the worse time to check battery life is shortly after installing a new update.

I had GPS issues with pretty much any app so I did an erase from the iphone and still had issues. Today I did a clean restore in itunes without restoring from backup. Every single app like google maps or sygic works like a charm.

Somehow, this beta feels like a mild regression in terms of OS fluidity. Same goes for Mojave, albeit in a more glaring way. Reasons to look forward to beta 3!

The Slingbox App does not work, just opens and closes immediately.
yeah, I reported this on the "apps not working" post, but man it's a HUGE pain not having access to slingplayer. Sadly, this is always the way this app works - or doesn't work with betas and sling media is VERY slow to update it. So, it will most likely be September before they make any updates (if they even do).

I've tried reaching out to their beta channel that I have been a part of for 15+ years now to see if we could get a beta build just to enable loading on the ios 12 builds.

GPS and everything else works well on my iPhone X and SE. The X resprings from time to time but other than that, it's a good beta.
