Seems normal to me. Do you have Increased Contrast on? I know some complained about the blueness of blue iMessage bubbles did.

Actually it looks closer to normal when Increased Contrast is on, lol.

Toggling True Tone seems to get it back to normal, temporarily at least.

Little google photos bug since I updated to the iOS 12 beta:

I updated my iPhone X and iPad to iOS 12 and my google photos albums stopped syncing. If my wife added a new photo to a shared album I could not see it, but could see it on the web in that album. I also was not getting new invited to shared albums.

I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, and when it came back, I had ZERO shared albums, and just my one non shared album showing. I checked on the web and all the albums I can not see are the "Shared" ones.

Same thing is happening on my iPad. I tried reinstalling the app there as well and again it shows everything except the shared albums.

*Update - 6/26/18: After reinstalling, if you click the top right three dots and then create a new shared album as a test with a random picture when its done the shared albums come back.

Just noticed the bug with changing skin tone of emojis within the recently used list is fixed.

I, too, have that annoying lingering “Notification Center” bug. It isn’t constant though, thank God.

Those screenshots only show that iOS 12 no longer darkens backgrounds to increase contrast for white text. It has been noted before.

Ah, I recall that being discussed in the iOS11 timeframe. Never see it myself because I always have dark backgrounds.

I thought that I had seen it mentioned somewhere on here. I guess I gotta darken them a shade or two. Thanks.

Any idea why they’d stop doing that, especially given that they’re going OLED, or why they had started doing it in the first place?

To avoid using drop shadows (which are not as effective for visibility). You can clearly see the difference in the two screenshots.

I am hesitant to get iOS 12 beta 2 on my iPhone. My iPad can take the iOS 12 fleshing out process though. I do hope that Apple delivers a stable update this fall.

iOs 11 really has a lot of bugs from screen freezing to taking a picture while in your pocket. Etc etc
I think Apple appreciated how buggy the software really is . I myself can think of sixteen issues while not major they’re annoying
Hopefully iOS 12 will buff and Polish the issues

PB seems great so far. Highlighting text in iBooks is back like iOS10. Wooo! Why on earth they removed it in the first place is a mystery. Unless they removed all the features from iBooks for iOS11 so it looks bad, put the features back! New Books, better than ever!

sly, Apple!

I had GPS issues with pretty much any app so I did an erase from the iphone and still had issues. Today I did a clean restore in itunes without restoring from backup. Every single app like google maps or sygic works like a charm.

What did you lose on doing that? Presumably auth info for many Apps and settings.. but did messages, health etc restore ok? I'm tempted to try iCloud restore for the GPS reason though wonder if it will be fixed in later beta. I could also do a new iTunes backup

Awesome! And did you have issues on 11.x?
Nope none at all on 11.x

In saying that, over the last few days I’ve noticed wifi connectivity stalling forcing me to have to reset network settings or restart phone to get it working again.

Yes i have an iphone x. looks awful. not sure if its contrast or colour imbalance. hopefully will be fixed only thing i hate so far.

I'm going to try manually darkening my images and see how that works out (per an earlier response to my question). I'll report back once I have some time to do it.

Edit:
I manually dropped the brightness down in Darkroom and it's better, but it does seem like Apple was doing something with the contrast as well and I haven't been able to peg that yet.

As Broken Hope says WiFi Calling over iCloud is now supported by beta 2. I have macos Mojave beta 2 on my Mac and cannot activate Wifi Calling over icloud on it. Does anyone else have this issue? Or do they know of a fix?
