iOS 12 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I’m not being “wise” or even trying to be, just stating what I see. It’s something you can’t capture on video, the recording doesn’t pick it up. You have to see it and kind of “feel” it for yourself which you don’t anyway. I think you’re one of those that can’t pick it up, or even if you did you don’t see it as a big enough problem like I do to even care. Again, I’m not trying to be some smartass here. It appears to be one of those things that some notice while others don’t otherwise you’d already be seeing it like me. I can try asking you to scroll in multitasking through your open app windows if you are on iPad (you need to have quite a few open to notice it), then scroll through them back and forth. There’s a sudden ‘jump’ and it is very jittery. Same with scrolling through the App Store and YouTube comments.

If you don’t see it though then you don’t see it. I can’t really change your mind if you don’t. It probably boggles your mind that I’m seeing it just like it boggles mine that you don’t.

Is anyone else annoyed by the sidebar that’s consistently present in the News app (Landscape mode)? Feels like the immersion in the content is lost.

That’s what I thought.
 
Whenever a video is left open in safari, it leaves a giant dialog box open on the lock screen. Annoying and not sure if it’s a bug since I haven’t used the previous betas. Certainly not an issue in iOS 11.
 
So I’ve googled around and not sure if it’s possible to do this, don’t want to waste my data plan if it’s not possible: I’m on vacation with no internet. I have my MacBook and my iPhone, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to use my iPhone hotspot, to download the iOS developer beta to my MacBook, and install from there - without it at any point wanting my iPhone to be connected to WiF, since that’s not an option.
Anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how?

Ps yes I really want the beta, I always wait for beta 3 of the new iOS versions :D

I’m not sure why I even bothered replying to you and your useless replies really. I have offered enough fair explanation while you have offered nothing apart from empty replies, while making it appear as though I’m making something up for the heck of it. You clearly don’t see it. I do. Never mind.

I don’t see it, because its not their own my equipment. The app switcher is a solid 60fps. I’ll leave you with the same thought as the last time; consider that your experience may not be universal.

Use your phone as a hotspot, connect your MacBook to the hotspot and download the IPSW file from your laptop. Then option update...from iTunes with the wire connected to the phone.

I've installed beta 3 on my iphone 6 and it feels so smoother and fast. beta 1 and 2 were terrible but beta 3 seems a lot of stable and smooth. it is just me ? can anyone confirm this ? even if you have an iphone 7,8, whatever, it is faster? maybe it could be a placebo effect but really don't know. i'm just happy with this beta, apple maps is working fine.

Oh awesome, thanks! I can do that from the same developer download site? Just go to it from my MacBook?
It won’t ask for WiFi to verify, do you think?

I believe this is possible. The 100 mb restriction is only for app and iOS updates.

I think you’re good to go. As far as your MacBook knows, it’s connected to a WiFi router. Because it is.

Same here. I've submitted feedback about it before iOS 12 (and when they disabled it for Beta 1 and 2 I was pretty happy) but now that it's reverted I've submitted more feedback... Looks like every photo you set has either been printed out and left in a tub of water or that it was taken in a dimly lit room...

I’ve been patient enough after 5 years of the crap and it’s something I personally don’t want to have to deal with for yet another year.

Again, many may be like you and just won’t notice it (which boggles my mind for someone like me who does), or maybe they do and just don’t see it as enough of a problem to care about it like I do. It is a big problem for me though because the reason I loved Apple in the first place was their once smooth 60fps UI with none of this sloppy jank. A truly smooth experience makes all the difference in the world and was one of the reasons why I was so loyal to Apple. What they have going on now is making me want to switch to the Pixel line full time because they seem to value that smoothness I crave.

Sorry, no jitters, stutter or lag on my iPhone X. It’s never been this smooth before. You’re clearly doing something wrong or your eyes are deceiving you. Go get your eyes checked out.
