Can anyone confirm that they've restored the auto-darkening of background images again (ala iOS 11)?
Doesn't show categories where you have 0 photos of that type.
Correct. Only shows categories your photos belong to.
Welcome change. There is "Other Albums" too which has recently deleted, import etc.
I was curious about this. They have been reporting on the "rebuilt Maps" app being released in this beta and starting the rollout in the SF Bay Area. Does it look like a significant rebuild?
Correct, only shows the list your photos belong to. I’ve only a handful on my iPhone so I dont see other categories.

I had some problems with Apple Pay on Beta 2, but it seems to be fixed.

Probably because it's been updated in watchOS 5?
You don’t need a carrier for GPS. You only need the carrier/WiFi for online maps.
I'm sure you're correct, but what's the tipoff on that?Maps in Bay Area has been switched over to the new Apple data.

Many places look different on my Mac running Majove beta 2. I.e. Apple Park is green instead of blue.
my GPS still isn't perfect
GPS seems to be working on my 12.b3 SE. Even in airplane mode for the bozos that think you need a carrier...
I still don't understand why they do this, I want my wallpaper/lockscreen image to appear the way it appears in Photos.app. Was hoping they permanently disabled the auto-darkening.
Yeah but it changed the backgrounds I normally use to way, way too bright. I've been able to kind of replicate it with Darkroom, but it's not the same.
It's also not consistent. Sometimes the backgrounds are blinding, others they're like they were on 11.
I haven’t been able to get screen time data to show up for the last few weeks. Initially i assumed it was just the beta in general, but it is still not showing up on beta 3. Are others seeing data? I wonder if I should do a backup and restore.
