I've been itching to try again, but my HomePod immediately disconnected on beta 2. Did anyone else experience similar issues? Is there a workaround or is it fixed? Tough to identify the problem here, I know. Thanks all.

I believe all Homepods had an issue right around then, my HomePod has worked fine throughout the betas.

Could be. My issue is my HomeKit set up. I don't want to run into problems on my shared home with my significant other. I suppose that means I am better off not making the jump to iOS 12.

Yeah, always run that risk with a beta and a lot of times it isn't worth the hassle. Especially for something like that you need working.

Not noticing anything new in my brief tour. At this point in the beta cycle, if there are any new additions I expect they will be saved for the keynote (wallpapers, ringtones, dark mode, etc.).

Not sure how you can still claim "planned obsolesce" after seeing how well iOS 12 runs on iPhone 5s.

Some people just always scream planned obsolescence.

No more software updates for the phone? Planned obsolescence!
More software updates but phone doesn't work exactly as fast as it did on the iOS version it originally shipped with? Planned obsolescence!
