There will always be those who feel their devices went slower, and not understand that this is because of the added feature set of the new OS update. iOS 12 has done a lot to clean up the code base and it shows, but there is no satisfaction because somehow A7 is slower than A11 flagship.

What broken wifi? What happened?

@macintoshmac All was good until I updated to PB 2. For whatever reason, my wifi is acting likes its dropping or just not there, almost dial up speeds. The router is good, I have an iphone 5 and 2 macbooks with excellent wifi. My iPhone 6S+ just doesnt work anymore on wifi properly. I've reset network settings several times, rebooted it several times, none of it works. Then last night for the first time ever, 'Screentime' decided to remove my option for Private browsing in Safari.
I need the new PB to test it. I've never had wifi issues with any beta, ever, but this one is pish.

With this beta 4, it feels like we are regressing into iOS 11 levels of bugginess compared to first 3 betas.....and it’s just been an hr into it.

Anyone who can test if ALAC 24-Bit / 96 KhZ is working with any EQ settings? On iOS 11 (All Versions) they play but without EQ.

imessage keyboard is acting wonky. messages app drawer does not go away when invoking emoki keyboard, text box also is buggy sometimes and stutters, didn't happen in previous betas.

Can anyone explain the basic reason of later betas showing more bugs than the beta 1-3?

I noticed a wallpaper perspective issue where it didn't move when tilted left or right. A reboot fixed it up.

A general note with a beta, if you notice something off, try a reboot and see if its still there.

And if the reboot does not fix it, wait for the next beta! :p

Updating via iTunes not working for me. I hold Option and select the IPSW but iTunes throws this at me and wont do anything else.

I am facing a unique issue with WiFi where browsing works but:

1. Netflix streaming does not
2. App Store downloads do not
3. Software Update does not.

Number 2 and 3 exist on WiFi on macOS as well.

Connecting to a personal hotspot on a different iPhone works every single time. Something is up with the WiFi on betas, or something is up with my connection. But I cannot prove it is my connection because browsing works, only Apple App Store and Software Update does not work connected directly to an Airport Express connected to a wired broadband connection (PPPoE).

No issues whatsoever if I connect either the Mac or the iPhone using a 4G hotspot or use the Personal Hotspot feature on iPhones to connect between devices over WiFi.

So right after updating my iMessage went totally bonkers. Would send some as iMessage and some as text.. was really slow, hung for a while and just generally was losing its mind.

Discovered in setting for some reason it had kicked out my Apple ID from Messages (but not FaceTime). tried to disable and re-enable iMessage but it didnt change the outcome. Initially signing my Apple ID would fail, so i had to choose "choose new Apple ID" and entered my account.. Seems to have fixed it, as my email and Apple ID are showing in Message again, where it was just my Cell # after updating. iMessage is also sending every time now.

You need to install Xcode beta which will install the required components for iTunes sync.

I have the xCode beta but not the latest one. You've never needed the latest one for iOS updates, once you have downloaded the xCode beta for say 11.4 you dont need to download later builds...?

Hit download on the install for the update, and while its downloading close iTunes.. once completed open itunes and attempt agian. Ive had to do that a couple times on my mac to upgrade as well.. Xcode is not required.

At least iOS 11 changed a few things like icons and other visual changes. This beta hasn’t changed anything to warrant any new bugs at all.

Well, I said: "...in the future"

Yeah it's running great, but just because they got a hard low kick below their belt line that made 'em vomit.
These improvements would never have been made without the battery fiasco headline.

The current good performance state of iOS does not reflect their overall base attitude on this matter.

Easy to speculate now as to what made them shift the direction of iOS 12. Even before that, show me one company who has supported their products better than Apple. Go ahead I'll wait...
