Genuine question, why?

Just a life habit. If I don’t need a t-shirt right now, I put it in the closet in it’s place, I don’t leave it on the bed. If I don’t need a knife, I put it in the kitchen in the drawer, I don’t leave it on the table. If I don’t need Bluetooth I put it in it’s place (turn it off). I am an ordered person (hope the word is good), for me it is normal that everything stays where it belongs.

It has nothing to do with battery concerns, just my way of being/living

You can't really compare those things to leaving bluetooth on without using it. Clothes on your bed, a knife of the table and so on is 'a mess'. Putting those things in their place is a question of tidying up. Turning off bluetooth is not.

For an organized person it is. I didn’t write that so you can judge it, I just answered the question. But let’s stay on topic, after all people come here to read iOS related things :)

Not sure that's the same comparison but even if it is, with the icon not showing, BT is effectively "in the drawer or in the closet or off the bed" and in its place not visible. :)

When I leave a room, I pull up any rugs and put them in a closet...I’m not walking on them anyway...

When I’m done watching TV, I pull it off the wall and put it back in the box until next time...

Smart guy.

Enjoy your phone :). Meanwhile I will continue my life in the way that I feel it is working, not in the way your bad sarcasm is trying to push it.

Anyone notice the activity from your Apple Watch doesn’t get updated in the activity app on the iPhone.

Eventually it updated but took a few hours. I rebooted both devices and it didn’t fix it.

Both are running beta 5.

This just started happening yesterday.

Unpairing and re pairing fixed it. BUT I lost all day activity for today. Thank god the day just started for me.

I really hope beta 6 comes today. :)

Nobody is trying to push you. They're genuinely trying to help. If there's no impact to battery and you don't see any indication it's working in the background, why bother with the extra step?

Bluetooth has benefits outside of connecting devices. Do you turn off your cellular data when you're not using it? There's a pesky LTE or 3G/4G icon in the status bar at all times with that feature.

Bluetooth has benefits outside of connecting devices. For instance, it helps improve location accuracy. Do you turn Bluetooth on before using navigation? Do you turn off your cellular data when you're not using it? There's a pesky LTE or 3G/4G icon in the status bar at all times with that feature.
Bluetooth does not help with location accuracy. Perhaps you are thinking WiFi?

WiFi helps to improve location accuracy, not bluetooth :)

I guess it all depends on what bluetooth devices you use, and how you use them. If I turn bluetooth off, then I need to turn it on every time I want to use my AirPods. Likewise I would need to turn it on to sync my watch or connect to blue tooth speakers, let alone every time I get in the car and want to be able to use the hands free bluetooth.

Leaving bluetooth on seems much less confusing than turning it on and off several times a day.

I have had a problem with my iPhone 7plus in PubBeta3 that will not download the Pub Beta 4 and will not update any apps or allow storage use in a normal way. ( apps keep lagging horribly and pausing in mid operation)
I have 15gb of free space and even removing all audio to get 50gb didn't solve it.
Currently I'm DFUing the phone and trying to downgrade back to 11.4 and maybe try again to get to 4 from scratch.

Anyone else still on Beta 5 having trouble updating to the new beta? Currently, keep getting the error saying Unable to check for update. Additionally, half of my apps will open, but not display anything. I can't update any of my outdated applications (just get the spinning wheel).
