I installed iOS 12 ... and if Bluetooth is on but not connected to any device, I don't see the icon on the status bar; but if it's connected the icon is there. The do not disturb situation is not pleasant, I didn't miss any calls until now because probably I saw this pretty fast, but it may happen at any time.

Except these, a very solid beta version

I don’t have the Bluetooth icon in the status bar on either my iPhone 7 or iPad Air 2. I wonder if it’s to save space given the limitations of the iPhone X screen.

It's possible that this is the reason, but I doubt. I imagine that they would have announced this kind of change, because I (and I believe that many people also) wouldn't like to have bluetooth open without using it, not knowing that is turned on for nothing. I always turn off bluetooth and mobile data when I don't need them

Is it now possible in iOS 12 to completely disable Bluetooth and WIFI from the control center?

I have a BT speaker that connects, but randomly upon reconnect the music sounds like it’s cracking up. It’s almost like it isn’t fully connected.

When I connect the speaker the very first time (new device), it’s fine. When I reconnect, randomly the connection is poor. It sounds like it isn’t fully connected. If I disconnect the speaker in iOS and reconnect, it’s fine again.

Trying to determine if this is the Amazon Music app conflict? Has happened on PB 3 and 4. Happening on my iPad 10.5. Reported.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or something similar? Thanks.
Apparently they are working on BT as its mentioned in release notes about some BT issues.

Why? BT LE uses virtually zero power unless its actually connected and being used. Also this is beta and they wont announce anything until its released (and 1/2 the time even then they don't :) ) especially for something as minor as that. The icon being there when nothing is connected serves no purpose really.

Apps are failing to install even with more than 2 GB of space available on device. Gives the “Not enough space to install the app” message.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

The tip about restoring font size to default seems to have stopped the iMessage resprings for anyone who hasn't tried that yet. No resprings in 24h now.

Yes, same problem here: “Not enough space available.”

I have iPhone 8 Plus and sometimes when going to send a text message or replying to a text message the phone resprings It doesn’t do a full reset but it for sure restarts the phone and the text I was typing isn’t in the text message any more and I have to retype it. It’s maybe done it 10 times Since I first downloaded it.

This has been posted about a lot in this thread. Do you have your text set to a non-standard size? Resetting to the standard size seems to have fixed it for many here.

Sorry I missed that. I scrolled through and didn’t see it. The text size is in the middle when I go to text size.

I’ve had a few resprings with iMessage even though I’ve never changed the font size from default. But my resprings aren’t as frequent as others’ seem to have been.

Have anyone installed it on iphone 6? How is the performance compared to beta 4?
Me again. 5 days in, B5 on my iP6 is smooth and stable. Zero issues. This unit is a test handset, and I have an identical unit running 10.3.3 to compare it to (VZW, 128GB, UL data) - I swap the SIM between these two handsets and I prefer the 12B5 handset over 10.3.3 for usability. My 2¢.

I still have the occasional iCloud disconnect/glitch happening:
- Phone is up and running for a few days (can't come up with another trigger for it)
- Stuff like mail push stops working (manual refresh doesn't work either, requires restart)
- iCloud sync for calendar entries randomly stop working (I have an entry for every workday that I update to the exact check-in and check-out times to keep track of my schedules), changes to calendar entries do not sync to my MBP until my iPhone is restarted

No idea what causes it, I did have 2 springboard crashes using WhatsApp over the last few days. Features like iCloud Photo Library, Apple Music Library, iMessage remain unaffected by this.

Got the beta 5 on my iPhone 6 but the size of system file has gone up to 20gb... Any suggestions which does not include buying a new one...

Sometimes when I want to search for a song I have only one option, to search for it in "Your library", I cannot search in "Apple music". If I close the app and reopen it it's working fine. Did somebody else notice this?

This is exactly why they removed it. BT being on doesn't impact your battery and is considered an essential part of your phone experience. So removing the status puts it out of your mind.
