iOS 12 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I’m getting random resprings. Black screen, loading icon and lock screen shows up. Twice today and have never experienced in any previous beta.

Am I wrong but wasn't there a small haptic when entering in passcode on lock screen. I do not have it on this beta and it feels off like it is missing. Anyone else have it not?

Don’t know if anyone notice but the saturation problem in the wallpaper seems better.
The new iOS 12 wallpaper it’s no longer very washed out compared to the preview in settings. Not the same saturation but much better...

Same, my X, got on launch day, is still at 100% battery health on this beta

Mine is at 95% and I got it on launch.

So now in iOS 12 instead of having the usage and standby times since last full charge that have been there before in every previous IOS you have to go on the little bar graph thingy and select each bar graph and add up the screen on and off usage time per hour to get your usage stats right? Seems like a step backwards to me. I don’t want to see the last 24 hours. I just want to see my battery usage since the last full charge like before without having to do this new added work!!!

Why not just look at th screen on and screen off times under the bar graph?

Could someone please confirm a bug for me ? Turn on reduced motion > make a call & go to the home screen or app switcher. It will flicker for a moment. I’m on an iPhone 8, it happens on beta 4. I’m wondering if it’s fixed in beta 5. I downgraded back to iOS 11.4.1 Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Try FaceTime and then switch to the regular camera in call and see if it disconnects. Seems like that is a big issue on this beta.

Hmmm... the lock screen weather widget after dismissing the bedtime alarm seems to be removed...

It‘s not, showed up for me this morning. I have DnD off in settings (also schedule turned off) and only enabled it in the clock app under bedtime settings. Works like a charm ever since beta 1.


Also: the stocks app widget does now show 2 entries instead of just one.

The 3D touch haptic feedback and animation on app icons seems different (smoother/more poppy) than previous betas. Can anyone confirm?

While I love a lot of things in sync, but I can see how all settings synced to all devices can be an issue. It is probably time for them to have a separate Sync Settings preference pane for selecting what to sync and what not.

It’s beta ^^ so you shouldn’t be complaining that something isn’t working right and I’m pretty sure your not a developer
