The problems aren't that bad a bit of slowdown for the first 1-10 minutes, but I'm sure they will push out a fixed build this week.

There is something very wrong with this update on the X. Massive lag and freezes when opening apps which settles down after a while. HOWEVER upon rebooting the phone it’s doing it again. This isn’t your usual bugs (especially considering we are now on beta 7), there is something wrong here.

King developer will be at it, worry you not. :D

I did a reboot and did not experience much lag, except Settings took about 10 seconds to open the first time and thereafter worked correctly. Not saying you are not experiencing the issues you've recounted, just that they're not universal.

That said, I also expect a re-release.

I tried to do some testing on this iMessage consolidation thing. From my iCloud email I sent texts to my email and my phone number. Then I changed settings so messages were sent from my number and again sent them to both my email and my number. I ended up confusing myself, let alone what my poor phone tried to do. It seemed to consolidate them but then got confused as the sender and receiver were the same.

Anyway, when you go into the "Send & Receive" addresses section in settings, there's this text:

So what happens to us that have already installed it? Do we get an update as well?
We'll probably get an updated version. Could still be yet today, but more likely tomorrow, depending on how hard it is to diagnose.

This is the classic case in point of the truisms we're always spouting here about not running this on your primary device and why there is a delay in releasing the public beta.

Don't flame me for this, but what lags are users experiencing? Specific to device, is it? My 8 in my limited usual use did not show any symptoms of lag. In fact, I felt it might just have been slightly more fluid. Again, on the 8.

On the article says: "The issues may only affect users who update using the OTA software update and not manually with the IPSW file".
That's probably why.

And this is also why I usually prefer doing a total reinstall using DFU method (especially for beta software). You never know with a beta!

Apps are taking a long time to open, basically. Seems to go away but may come back after a reboot.

Took an eternity to open apps, screen would freeze etc... good thing Apple pulled it. Those who didn’t experience that were the lucky ones i guess.

Did not expect this beta 7 to be this unresponsive on my iPhone X. It's pretty much hanging on every app. Can't even use Messages app, it keeps freezing.
No problem here so far. I don’t have any of the complaints reported here. Let’s wait a few more hours or a day or so.

Strange. My 8 does not show any obvious, adverse lag, including launching games. Well, if Apple pulled it, I am only glad to receive something better soon!

Upon fresh testing after reports of lag, I for one am actually feeling slightly speedier app open times. Happily waiting for what Apple does now to fix this for those experiencing the issue. Maybe we shall see better load times.

Just updated and also having very large lag issues on load and hopefully that is just indexing and will recover. The Settings app froze and had to start it again then it started running and does show the Update available bug. So far just based on the sluggishness this would make the worse beta version of 12 for me. I do have to say that all of Beta 12 has been much better than any other beta I have used.
