Been playing with it on my X and Air 2. So far ........... no issues! OTA for both as soon as it came out, as said before it was a quick install also.

No app hangups, but after the update, settings show a pending software update even though it's already up to date.

My guess would be whatever it's doing in that first 10 minutes was supposed to happen during install, before rebooting. You know, one of those crazy long updates where people start freaking out that their phone is "bricked" :D

Probably relinking, rebuilding cache etc. It's working fine.

Makes sense, especially with a number of people here reporting a fast install.

Download the App System Status. You can clear your RAM there and you can see if it’s the CPU. In the past it was also possible to see all the tasks but Apple doesn’t allow it anymore.
Trite.

We want a real one from Apple like on MacOS or Windows.

My OTA update took a long time and if you are correct it might explain why my iPhone X works perfect on beta 7.

Is just an educated guess really but the anecdotes seem to fit the supposition. My update on a 7+ was fast. Sucked for 10 minutes after reboot though. Absolutely fine now, even after another reboot.

After letting my iPhone X sit on the charger for a bit, it seems to be running perfectly until a reboot. After the reboot, the phone again lags to launch the first app I open. After the initial lag, all apps open and function properly.

I have updated to this beta right after this came in and so far no issue on my X. Fingers crossed...

Update to Photos app:

People -> "Confirm Additional Photos" "Favorite This Person" and "Remove From People Album" settings have been moved to the "..." button on top right instead of at the bottom of the page.

Tester: Wow, Matt, you really got that install time down on the B revision. I didn’t have much time to test everything but you just made a small change right? No hacks? Let’s ship it!
Matt: *gulp*

Exchange is working for me. Try re-entering your credentials.
As always, your mileage may vary.

But for me, it’s back to the behavior of betas 1-4. Apple asked me to send along a bunch of special logs to fix it. They broke it again (for me at least)
