ok my x is going slow now, will we get a new build or have to restore with ipws

I just updated OTA. The update showed up for me or maybe I downloaded it before it was pulled (was it pulled?). I can confirm lag when opening apps, at least initially.

On the article says: "The issues may only affect users who update using the OTA software update and not manually with the IPSW file".
That's probably why.

I updated my phone using the IPSW and the first things i noticed were those lags.

I just finished reading the comments and never had the chance to download before it was pulled. Now I’m going to wait the day after Apple release it again to be on the safe side.

Yeah thats why you should not use betas on your daily driver!

I was lucky, runs very fluid and smooth on my iPhone 6. Seems a little bit faster than last beta, as others already have written.

Cmon Apple. Right when we thought they turned things around this happens? And it’s a revision b...cmon

It was a developer beta, not a public beta and definitely not public release software. The only people who should have installed it at this point are developers. Any non-developer who installed it (or any developer who installed it on a daily driver) has only themselves to blame. This is a classic example of why the public beta comes out later than the dev beta. Nobody on the public beta (where it is much more likely to be installed on a daily driver) was affected because it was caught on the dev beta.

Still early, but I think CarPlay is completely hosed for me. Plug phone in, get CarPlay icon on dash, but no CarPlay splash screen on phone, and within a minute complete re-spring.

T-Mobile 8+

Gonna give it a few more minutes to settle down before officially stating that this sucks.

CarPlay is cooperating again now. Had to let it sit and think for an hour.

Does anybody else notice that after installing the OTA update there's a badge on the settings app with a 1 which takes me to the software update section, however there are no new updates and the badge will never clear.

Maybe an OTA issue only?

I wonder if folks who updated using the ipsw are not experiencing the slowdown issues?

It’s not an OTA only issue as I did it via ipsw and iTunes and still had the lag.

It also returns with a reboot and takes around 7-8 mins to clear.

Not me, but a few members have mentioned that issue earlier today.

No, you’re wrong. There are ”you” and a couple of others in this thread complaining after 5 minutes. That doesn’t constitute ”MANY” people.

Apple took it down.

So who’s wrong?

How strange some people have issue and some not, my IPhone X OTA updated, no issue at all and super snappy.

I wonder if it is some setting or app causing it like on beta 6 , default apps not installed caused the setting app to crash.

Also noticed it was the fastest install beta ever, the bar literally completed!

iPhone X here and updated to beta 7 and none lag issues or anything else what so ever. Guess I was also lucky

Same here. It updated within minutes. I was surprised

No problem here so far. I don’t have any of the complaints reported here. Let’s wait a few more hours or a day or so.
I almost could bet it has to do with the need to restart the phone at least once after the upgrade. Did the trick for me

Apple has pulled the IPSW file from the Developer Downloads page. So, it does appear something may have been wrong with the whole build.

Mine is working fine but I have to travel the next few days so back we go to beta 6.
