Guys, is there a way to go back to the last beta? This one ruined my phone....
I want to go back to public beta 7

Took me all day but was finally able to give this a try. I use the UK Siri voice. That one says “reply” quite clearly. Tried it several times and am convoying heard it correctly.

So you’ve lost it.

Thanks for checking it out. You're a champ.

I'm using US Siri. Though I concede my Scottish ear may lead to confusion in the US occasionally (and my Scottish accent lead to confusion a lot!) I'm still convinced she's not saying it right. Just got another message a few minutes ago and I'm convinced she's saying reapplying. Sticking to my guns! :p

Did the fast charge double beep disappear in this beta? I know it would beep once then beep again a couple seconds later to indicate fast charging. Seems my 8 plus with my MBP’s 61w charger and usbc/lightning cable isn’t doing it anymore.

Is that what is was? I thought it was a loose connection or something. I don't get the double 'ding' anymore when I connect it with the latest beta but I always had it previously

So every time I have been plugging my phone in the past year and a half, getting that DING... DING... it means fast charging? I always thought Apple updated something with iOS and what not and made the new ding.. Ugh. Why do they not share these things????

At first I thought something was broken but I was like, can't be broken. New phone, cables are fine, charger is good. Have had several phones, all do the same thing. So I just went with it. Lol

And still, since beta 1, when i type summer in photos app search, it shows me pic of winter, and vice versa

Cool, lockscreen "hide" clock "feature" is still here as well as the notification blinking and zoomed in apps... The clock bug is here since iOS 11.0, the notification and zoom-in problem is since 12.0 beta 1.

How?

I was just noticing on my iPhone X (iOS 11), the weather is 83 and "Clear" here in Portland, OR.

On my 6 Plus (iOS 12), the weather is 83 and "Unhealthy Air Quality for Sensitive Groups".

For reference, the photo above is "Clear". The photo underneath is what the air has looked like recently. It's smoke from fires up in Canada.

I probably missed this fix in previous beta threads, but it's nice not having the weather app tell me it's clear outside.

It also has the air quality index listed down below in the weather stats now. It’s been handy here in Portland trying to monitor the air during the day.

The camera in portrait mode isnt working well, the background is not being blurred until the object is not brought very much close to the camera and the edges of the object are messed up as well.Iphone 8 plus here

I'm in China, which is in the northern hemisphere, I believe

Ah, ok. My pet theory is shot then. Thought it might just be naively assigning months to the seasons but that wouldn’t make much difference for China which is a long way north of the equator. If you’d said Australia, it might my shot in the dark may have made sense.

No chance. While you can find ipsw for the usual beta program, no ipsw's are available for the last public beta because its ota only.
All the betas have the IPSW files, one just needs to search,i just reverted back to beta 8 from 9 through IPSW

He/She's talking about the public beta. I wasn't able to find any ipsw for the public beta, only for the usual ones which need a developer account. Can you name me a source where you're able to find public beta as an ipsw which is usually shared over the air?

Thanks for sharing Nadeem_Guroo. From the Build Number 16A5354b, it's the OS 12 beta 7 Build from August 13. He/She wants to go back to Public Beta 7 (which is possible over the air, because released on 20th August) or to Public Beta 6 (which i didn't find a way).

Anyone else having issues with the grouping of gmail notifications on the lock screen? I have tried both automatic and by app for gmail but they are shown message by message...
Also... deleting an email (Gmail app) from notifications on lock screen has no effect. It doesn’t work.

Not sure if this is beta related, but the taptic and sound on my 8 plus have just stopped working. Been fine on the betas up until last night and then it just stopped. Tried reboots, reset all settings, toggling haptic off and on. Just did an ALT+Update in iTunes using the IPSW, nothing. Now restoring and gonna set up as new......

That has happened to me pretty often since iOS 11. Usually it’s solved with a restart and the few times a restart hasn’t solved it, it has solved itself after some time. It happens less with iOS 12 though.

Hmmmmm a DFU restore to 12 didn't fix it, so am now DFU restoring to the latest 11 to see what happens. If that doesn't work then I think an express replacement via AC+ is in order.

Do you, perchance, live in the Southern Hemisphere? Makes you wonder if the seasons are hard-coded to mean June-September?

It sounds as a hardware problem since you tried almost all possible solutions without any change.

(Upon testing, I briefly thought I had the summer/winter bug too... until I realised the beach pics were taken in south India a few years back, where it’s hot enough for that in the winter too :D)
