I’m not getting a parked car location marked. It just doesn’t show up for me anymore.. doesn’t matter where I park and how many times I connect to my car.

That's weird. It's been working flawlessly here, both via Bluetooth and CarPlay. Which are you using?

If it's Bluetooth, have you tried unpairing your cars unit and repairing? Or ... Same question if your using CarPlay? :)

New lesson learned: Replaced iPhone SE last week with a new one, restored encrypted backup of the old device with Beta 8 (16A5357b). Now Beta 9 wasn't offered. Solution: I had to registere the device at beta.apple.com, restarted, Beta 9 was offered (and installed fine)

Did the fast charge double beep disappear in this beta? I know it would beep once then beep again a couple seconds later to indicate fast charging. Seems my 8 plus with my MBP’s 61w charger and usbc/lightning cable isn’t doing it anymore.

Anyone checked if WiFi calling problems on T-Mobile are fixed? It’s been on the list forever but I haven’t seen if anyone has bothered to report on it.
Still listed as a known issue and it’s killing me. Affects me every day. Something tells me it’s not Apple’s big to fix and they essentially waiting on a new carrier bundle, which won’t happen until GM. That’s my theory.

I did. In that 60 page thread I said they have temporarily stopped it so that people don't get suspicious of them. ios 13 redesigns the home screen so it's likely going to be back to the same old same old next year so I won't upgrade to that. I will probably enjoy it via a new iPhone.

I feel iPhone 8 (last of the iconic home buttoned iPhones) will run a large portion of the elements of a redesign just fine, with obvious focus on the X and its future technologies. I would likely want to upgrade to a new phone next to next year when the new technologies and interface gestures and what not have been streamlined between the OS and the third party apps. I do not want to use a new phone with latest features that third party apps take time to support, by the end of which we are close to a refresh of the phone anyway.

Is that what is was? I thought it was a loose connection or something. I don't get the double 'ding' anymore when I connect it with the latest beta but I always had it previously

Installed yesterday on my iPhone 8+ and iPad Air 2, it runs very well on both devices.

It was expected on the 8+ but the improvement on old devices such as the Air 2 is really impressive. I was thinking about replacing it soon, looks like it can serve me well for one more year.

I don’t think it will be again. BT is most likely considered an always-on thing from now on. Just like gps.

Considering their push to wireless with AirPods, it might be so. I don't know since I do not have the watch with me, but the watch is dependent on bluetooth as well for some things, yes?

Can't AirPlay to HomePod anymore, it fails to connect to HomePod every time. Several restarts haven't solved the problem

You use CarPlay daily, right? Or am I mixing that up with someone else?

Edit: Did that sound rude and assuming? I didn’t mean it to be. Also I realise I quoted you on a post unrelated to my question should have just @ed you. Sorry.

Oh no worries. I just wasn’t sure.

I do use CarPlay daily. I’ll give it a try and see what I hear!

iPad Pro 10.5 on Beta 7 and 8 was flawless. On beta 9 on occasion it fails to wake up from sleep. Eventually it wakes up, I haven't figured the patter that wakes it up. So for me, B9 is not as good as B8. No issues on iPhone8.

Does it show when connected to a Bluetooth device?

I connected a Bluetooth keyboard that i am typing on now connected to my iPad but NO it doesn’t show anything. I also now believe this is the new normal behaviour.

I think this is a great move. The top right corner is starting to feel a bit crowded with status icons on my 7.

iOS 12 fixes iOS 11 so I have updated all my devices running iOS 11 to iOS 12. I still haven’t updated my iPad Pro which is on iOS 10. iOS 11 was such a horrible release, I am seeing improvements even on an iPhone X.

In my view, iOS 11 doesn’t exist as an iOS release it’s that bad. If iOS 13 is not like iOS 12 which it likely won’t be I am staying on iOS 12 on my devices.

I predict that at an Apple event this October, after iOS 12 has been released, Phil S will use a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy & hypnotism to mass reprogram everyone into forgetting that iOS 11 ever existed.

‘I wonder why Apple jumped straight from iOS 10 to 12? Anyway, iOS 12 is a great upgrade from 10!’

Anyone having bluetooth instabilities connecting to car? Just started yesterday after updating to Beta 9. Car is a 2018 BMW 440i. Both Carplay and normal bluetooth connectivity are unstable. Tried unpairing/repairing, updated vehicle software to be sure, rebooted phone, etc.

restarted phone and has become super smooth on x and feels so nice, wow this gm will be ace
[doublepost=1534797556][/doublepost]im actually really excited for the public to get such a shock once they upgrade its gonna make everyones phone feel new :)

That's part of the reason why I am waiting for the final release before going to iOS 12.

”Messages in a single conversation” works perfect with Mojave, it even sorted old messages to single conversations.

On iOS 12 only new messages that arrives are sorted into single conversations. Old messages are still unsorted.

Has anyone tried disabling iMessage, delete all messages on iPhone and then reactivate? Does that re-download messages from iCloud and does it sort old messages in a single conversation?

I don’t want to try if someone else already knows if the answer is negative since I’d hate to lose my messages.
