Maybe the screen time only measures the time you spend in apps whereas the screen on time measures the total time the screen is powered on at any given time like when it wakes up for a notification or you spend time on the home and lock screen. That’s all I can think of right now.
Thats a pretty good point! I thought about it. Yeah. Makes sense.

Another weird thing is, I was on a 30 minute FaceTime Audio call with the phone locked. It didn't count as off screen usage.

Since installing 12 GM on my iPhone 8, my Apple Watch (still on 4.3.2) has been showing the hollow location arrow non-stop. Can’t figure out why, no new apps have been installed nor have any location settings been changed. My weather app pulls from a single zip code with no location services, so it’s not that. Turning the phone off completely will make the arrow on the watch go away, but I know for a fact it very rarely showed the location arrow on the watch when I was on 11.4.1. Now it is on there nonstop. Anyone else seen this?

Why? Because the old portrait iPhones don’t have an a12 chip? Lol

tbt when on the dev conference about iPhone 7+ portrait mode they showed to developper how to implement this feature into app (so it's an old feature which Apple didn't put in his own apps). And in 2018, they say it's exclusive thanks to "the power" of new iPhone. They lied, but well that's 2018 Apple ;)

I have an issue with this GM on my iPhone 8+, after it got installed, all local photo got wiped so they needed to be loaded from icloud, but after a few pictures loaded it get stuck and don't want to load any other one. Need to reboot, but it happen again and again

Plug in your phone and leave it overnight on WiFi and when you wake up it should have everything downloaded.

At least that’s how it’s always gone when having to download all my pictures (I keep them all stored on device)

atm I don't have any wifi but even in 4G in don't work. The weird things is that i does work, but after a few picture loaded it get stuck and the round stay empty

Only 1.65GB for me on iPhone X. I didn't do any of the betas, weird that it would be smaller. Oh well.
I want to update but it’s weird to have that 1.65 GB update, cause I’ve seen the others are around 2.25 GB or else! Is there any difference or that’s the final release?

Can someone explain this screen on/screen off time? How the hell do I have 6 hours of on time and 7 minutes of off time.. ??!?!?!? this is so confusing...

Screen off time is when the phone is active while the screen is off. Think playing music with the screen off.

Didn’t touch my phone, listen to the music in bg for at least 3 hours.. it was left on the table.. so where are those 3 hours? WHAT THE ACTUAL

Obviously something was running in the background...it should show you what was running during that time. I would think an app was using your location or the phone was indexing in the background. Or some of your apps haven't been optimized for iOS 12 yet.

Man, Monday is going to be a big day.. iOS 12 release. Plus a slew of app updates coming our way.. Apple servers are about to get hit for another week of heavy loads.
[doublepost=1536951781][/doublepost]Also, I'm sure that apple is going to release a different version of iOS 12 on Monday. With a friday 12.0.1 release for iPhone Xs and Xs Max

I really hope Monday's iOS 12 release is not the GM released this past Wednesday. I installed the GM on my work iPhone and its really nothing to write home about. Just as buggy as iOS 11.

can you list all the bugs

-Weather widget does not update
-Calendar "Up next" widget not updating
-Notifications on lock screen do not group
-Battery section is a mess (IMO) Screen on and Screen off times make zero sense
-Under Screen Time where the "Most Used" apps are listed, there are apps named '3016sd8fv1de65bv1' with a messed up icon. Makes no sense. What apps are those?
-Battery Life goes from 100% to about 93% within 30 minutes with the phone not even being used. Phone is just sitting on the desk at work. Battery Health states my Battery is at 100%. So the battery is not in poor health.

Today my screen time is reporting a little more than in the battery section which is really confusing me now!!
