Nothing has been released on a Friday in the last couple years...but 11.2 was pushed out on a Saturday so don’t think the day really matters.

Friday 31 August -- iOS 12.0 beta 12, tvOS 12.0 beta 10 and watchOS 12.0 beta 10 released.
Friday 16 March -- iOS 11.3 beta 6 and watchOS 4.3 beta 6 released.
Friday 19 January -- iOS 11.2.5 beta 7 and watchOS 4.2.2 beta 5 released.

Have there ever been any Friday beta or non beta releases?

Actually iOS 12.0 beta 12 was released on a Friday as was iOS 11.3 beta 6, 11.2.5 beta 7, 11.2 beta 4 & 6, and 11.1 beta 4. So Fridays are certainly a possibility.

I was referring to final releases not betas...I think we should be at the final point about now especially with the last build being an alpha build.

With apple releasing the new Apple Watch reuturn policy today, my guess is that public release will be today

Is that a policy that's actually released and in effect as of today? Furthermore, watchOS might not necessarily be tied to iOS in terms of releases (even though often that's the case, although not always).

I would think definitely next week all of the software will come out, can't see it being today, but who knows
