Somewhere...deep inside Apple... there is an internal forum thread entitled “ the iOS 12.x.x Absolute Certainty Thread” where project managers post - with absolute certainty - the date a particular software release will drop. Unless you are privy to that thread, anything posted here is...speculation. Some of it has some logic behind it, but it’s all still speculation.

I’d say there’s a possibility of a 4 pm drop today, but more likely next Tuesday. Whether that will be beta 4 or the release I don’t know (though I’m leaning towards release based on the ECG instruction manual leaked yesterday, which seems to indicate we’re getting close)

i actually have had some app updates today.. one of them being facebook

guess they were just a little behind on updates this week.. being at the end of the week instead of the beginning.
can't believe facebook STILL isn't made for xs max or new iPad there developers are so poor

The known issues list of iOS 12.1.1 BETA3 is so darn long, I highly doubt the release will be next week. Considering how few of the known issues that was fixed from BETA1 to BETA2 and from BETA2 to BETA3 it would be strange that most of them are suddenly solved now and even if they are it would be strange for Apple to not provide BETA just to make sure everything is fine before doing the release.

Are you new to the beta game? Those "known issues" lists only grow with Apple. Every now and then something will get fixed and drop off but most of those issues listed are so small that they get de-prioritized because the more major releases (X.x) break more major things. It's an endless cycle.

Realistically, it's not just Apple, it's pretty much the norm for software in general.

If you are referring to post #1 in the 12.1.1 beta x threads, those are not just iOS 12.1.1 beta issues but stuff dating back a while that folks mention that still exist in these betas. Pretty much the "New features and changes", "new issues", and "resolved issues" are the sections where you should be looking not the "remaining issues" section.

I should add to the remaining issues list that iOS will not transform my phone into a personal jet copter. I demand this be rectified! No more releases until then!

I’m thinking about it too...still not sure

I think he’s saying that the iPhone (let alone a newly released version, such as the Max) does not comprise a majority of deployed smartphones capable of running the Facebook app. Hence Facebook will not prioritize its efforts towards optimizing the experience for such a small subset of devices.
