I have read about that. Sounds like it is already enabled in Europe? I am running b3 here in Scandinavia and the precision is 13 feet / 4 meters right now. Outside, of course.I'm looking forward to the update because it might enable Galileo support in the US since the FCC approved it. Increased location access is awesome.
May also include the ECG feature in iWatch and iHealth support for it.How ironic, people get upset with too many updates and then when not enough updates. It's 12.1.1, the biggest change is the FaceTime swap camera button. Why are people so worked up about it?
Why do people keep saying this. eSIM is already enabled in US. I've used it. I had no choice but to use it when the fires burnt down all my local towers. It would also, potentially, enable the eSIM for the US.
Thats more watchOS than iOS.May also include the ECG feature in iWatch and iHealth support for it.
Yes but still requires an iOS update.Thats more watchOS than iOS.
But thats not a feature of iOS. And very, very few people have mentioned that in this thread. People just want the update, for unspecified reasons.Yes but still requires an iOS update.
because we want the newest and greatest and don't wanna wait..... lolBut thats not a feature of iOS. And very, very few people have mentioned that in this thread. People just want the update, for unspecified reasons.
I've mentioned it repeatedly. As long as there are non-LTE versions of the Watch out there, it will depend to some extent on the iPhone. I am viewing 12.1.1 and WatchOS 5.1.2 as joined at the hip. One won't come without the other. I might be wrong, but I don't think so...But thats not a feature of iOS. And very, very few people have mentioned that in this thread. I'm not sure how thats entirely relevant to my point though? Obviously they will come out together, all watchOS and iOS updates come out together because they are joined at the hip. I don't think the watch will ever not require an iPhone. But with that being said, there is nothing groundbreaking in 12.1.1 that I would expect this hype from. Everyone wants something that really isn't a big deal because they are bored and within 24 hours everyone will want something else. Seems like an endlessly pointless hype train.I've mentioned it repeatedly. As long as there are non-LTE versions of the Watch out there, it will depend to some extent on the iPhone. Agree for the most part. However, I think there may be code in 12.1.1 that supports the ECG functionality. And, even if not, if the WatchOS update is delayed for regulatory reasons related to the ECG app on the Watch, that'll hold everything else up, potentially. But as to the rest of 12.1.1, unless the Galileo thing is true, you're right: nothing earth shattering.I'm not sure how thats entirely relevant to my point though? Here's the tweet:I think they were supposed to release 12.1.1 today, but something must have stopped them. The reason I say this is because Apple Support on twitter just asked someone experiencing battery issues if they "updated to the newest version of iOS, iOS 12.1.1."
that's interesting, wonder what happened

Not ruling anything out, but could also have been a typo, or potentially a reference to iOS 12.1.1 beta (as in asking if the user might be using that version in case that might have something to do with what was asked about).
