Not ruling anything out, but could also have been a typo, or potentially a reference to iOS 12.1.1 beta (as in asking if the user might be using that version in case that might have something to do with what was asked about).

Agree with this. Though I do lean towards the "missed the memo" side of the argument.

Most likely the support person who wrote this tweet is running 12.1.1 beta on their phone and checked their phone to see what the "latest" version is.

Easy mistake to make.

How ironic, people get upset with too many updates and then when not enough updates. It's 12.1.1, the biggest change is the FaceTime swap camera button. Why are people so worked up about it?

Also one thing is its been mentioned that 12.1.1 helps with the poor cellular/LTE issues on the X series devices. So there's that. But also your synopsis that folks get bored really easily too. Maybe even the badge/achievement issues will be addressed in the final build as well.

In the past a lot of iOS updates have dropped on Wednesday. If there are unforeseen issues they have 2 days to fix it

Don’t think anything will happen tomorrow. Specially if they are waiting for clearance from the FDA. Most federal offices will be closed tomorrow. Maybe Thursday? If not next week.

Another wrinkle to consider: seeing a lot of reports that Siri, and in particular, Siri Shortcuts, is having issues: commands not executed or recognized and the like. This may also be in play here, particularly if this is the result of some recently discovered vulnerability. They may be patching this.

Im gonna be really honest its fun guessing when they come out but at the end of the day only Apple knows, and for what ever reason we have to just accept it, it is fun guessing when etc but we just dont know, but my guess is now Monday dont know why tho
