I predict we will get 12.2 on the day of the March event.

Then a 12.3 later in the year, perhaps before or around WWDC, then that’s it for iOS 12 because they will be putting everything into 13.

Sound reasoning. But I don’t think we’ll get a 12.3 though. WWDC is only 3 months away. I think we’ll get a 12.2.1 and maybe a 12.2.2 over the summer. All eyes are on iOS 13, which they are almost certainly putting everything into (and probably have been since November at the latest).

Yeah that could be the case too. However I think iOS 13 will also cut off the 5S and 6 lines (rumors were also saying 6S but I think the limiting factor will be the 1GB RAM), so they could possibly do a .3 to iron out any last bugs for those devices about to be cut off.

Most, or perhaps just some, if not even a few?
Most governmental employees, financial institution employees and many other businesses have this as a day off, so that's not inconsiderable. Anecdotally, traffic is always way down on President's Day, further indicating that a lot of people are at home, not work.

Most schools (and even colleges/universities) are usually out too, meaning that many parents are usually off, even those who might not get the day off and end up taking it off using up a vacation day or something like that.

That aside, I'm not certain if it's an official company holiday (this year) at Apple or not, but chances are even if it's not they likely won't release something on a day like today (however, as always, almost anything can happen).

All those « federal » and local things are so « exotic » when you watch them from another country :)
Here the law is same everywhere it’s almost boring
