Probably as I suspect AirPods 2 will be announced then too... :D
Pretty sure AirPods 2 is now rumored for second half of 2019, and only the wireless case is rumored for March. Unless it has changed again in the last week, haven't checked.

Yeah. Ming Chi Kuo says first half of the year. Since code is in 12.2, makes sense.

I still don’t like that argument. Considering AirPower has been in the code for over a year. If it was coming in March, we would have production leaks by now.

I'm going to disagree here. Everything points to their arrival. The AirPower code is probably a bad example as that was intended to ship a year ago, hence its inclusion then.

And that’s fine, you can disagree, just like I disagree with the a couple rumors that have been changing bi-weekly for the last 6 months. I think it being in the code means nothing in terms of release being imminent. To me, That’s like looking to Apple’s patents to see what their future products will offer.

If they come out next month great, but you’re placing a lot of faith in little support.

Other than Ming Chi Kuo's track record, which is superb.

I'd like to see beta 4 today or tomorrow, with some speed optimisation for the 8. The 7 feels more fluid than the 8 now. It is all about the speed of animations, that's it. That wicked fast feeling is gone on the 8, but remains on the 7. Every time I use the 7 to install the latest beta, I feel I should replace my 8 with the 7 for a daily driver.

Also: Could it be that the 8 is 64GB with 48GB used? Could that be causing the slowdown I feel coming from the 128GB 7, which is just about 30GB full out of 128?

I do remember reading something about how higher GB phones had different NAND logic (for lack of a better term) and hence would(could?) bench mark faster. That would be splitting hairs though.

Edit:

I think the same applies to the iPads. You would need to search for that though ...

Apple's way of convincing the spec centered folks get the biggest/fastest :)
