Warning: This update resets all your HomeKit items. Left for work this am with all my philips hue lights, came home after updating and the Home app thinks it’s the first time I’ve ever launched the app. No rooms, no lights, have to go through the whole setup again.

thx apple.

No, this update doesn't reset all HomeKit items. Mine are also fine. No changes to the Home App on my end at all.

Battery life has been poor on my xs max . This has been a problem on most versions of iOS 13 . The worst was 13.2 beta so I went back to 13.1.2 and it was still bad. Did a clean install and waited for few days and still bad. Was hoping that 13.1.3 would be better but by 5 pm the phone is down to 16% (with light use , mainly phone , WhatsApp and mail , with low power mode on , dark theme , black wallpaper and location services off).On iOS 12, without low power mode and with location services on my xs max would easily go on till the end off the day .This has been a huge disappointment. iOS 13 is more fluid and dark mode has been great but battery life has been really poor .

My impression is that battery life has improved a lot with 13.1.3 but that's just one overnight test. I will be doing other tests.

Email bodies now load and they load quickly so appears to be fixed.

I think that my battery problem was due to the phone stuff and I'm hoping that was fixed.

Notes, of course, is still broken.

No weird overnight drain? Was it like 5-10% over 8 hours?

Hi there, I have an iPad 6th gen with ipad os. I have some bugs that force me to shut down the device:
First, when I connect the beatsx via the control center the device freezes and force me to reset the device.
Second one is with my wifi when I'm streaming something the device freezes and force me to reset the device too.
I have bugs also with the iphone 6s, control and notification center sometimes don't work and force me to reset the device.
Also I live near Barcelona, Spain. When I'm visiting the city the iphone force me to use 3g. My 4g don't work there! But in my village and home works perfectly.

On the phone they are all gone, on my Mac still there.

Only change is the update.

Check your Mac to see if iCloud Home syncing is enabled. If it is, then check your iPhone that it's also enabled. If it is on the phone, try toggling it off and back on and see if your devices come back.
Last thing to try is logging out of iCloud completely and back in.

No issues with home screen stuttering here. It is such a minor thing anyways compared to all the other bugs in the OS. Ridiculous how important 1-2 dropped frames is to some people so early in the OS lifecycle.

2. Overnight/general standby battery drain?
Everything being exactly the same on my XS Max from iOS 12 to 13, overnight standby is still worse. Fully charged phone is down 8-10% after twelve hours of standby overnight. On iOS 12, I would still be at 100% in the morning.

It’s basics and shouldn’t exist. Didn’t have this issue with iOS 12. A new $1200 device shouldn’t have these performance issues from a $1 trillion company!

My iPhone 11 Pro has been off the charger for the last 4 hours (mainly standby, but some light use) and my battery is at 97%

Much more expensive brand new cars from much more established companies have all kinds of issues for here and there for different people. None of this is to say that something like that is good or bad, or right or wrong, simply that it’s just fairly basic reality (as unfortunate that might be).

I watched the video and I can't even see the issue. Never ceases to amaze me how people demand "perfection" just because something costs however much $$$ or just because it's Apple. Oh wait, I've been around Macrumors long enough that...yeah...it has ceased to amaze me.

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app on my iPad and now iPadOS refuses to open YouTube links in the app. Unless they are specifically youtube.com or youtu.be. If they are www.youtube.com or m.youtube.com they open in Safari. I had the same problem initially in iPadOS 13.1 for YouTube, Reddit and Twitter, but somehow it resolved itself. I was hoping Apple would fix this permanently.

Edit: and it resolved itself when I updated a completely unrelated app. iOS 13 is really weird.

Hmm, I guess I just don’t constantly flick between home screens so I don’t notice.
Same here but I did happen to try it just because and my lowly XR (you know the non premium phone a lot of folks bashed when it came out) is as smooth as butter. Never a single time did it do that even between 3 home screens. Oh and for the record gmail, outlook.com, and office exchange mail accts are working fine too. So who knows?

Anyone having an increase of call failures with this build? I hadn’t had a single dropped call on iOS 13.0-13.1.2, but I’ve had 4 in 24 hours on iOS 13.1.3. Even dropping on WiFi calling.

I have had my iPhone 11 Pro since day after launch. I have not had a single dropped call. I'm on AT&T btw. I have been reading about iPhone 11 dropped calls (or iOS 13 dropped calls), and I read on MacRumors iPhone forum that someone had determined it was due to mail notifications. Every time they got a mail notification while on a call, it dropped. Turning off VoLTE seemed to fix it. I do not use the stock mail app and have notifications turned off, so this may be why I do not have the issue.

Not sure if this is your issue but might be worth looking at.

Have things improved with 13.2 beta 3 released a few hours ago? Has call dropping decreased.

I also faced similar problem with call dropping upon mail notifications- X, beta 2.

How annoying is it that Apple is yet to fix the missed call badge Count Indicator not disappearing from the home screen, I have to hard reset my phone for it to get removed,
