How long is it taking you all to upgrade from 13.0 to 13.1 beta 4? I've been stuck for 20+ min

In case this happens to anyone else - it locked up for 30 minutes or so, rebooted phone. It downloaded the update again, got stuck again for 30+ minutes.

Did it one more time and this time it worked.

fyi - for those restoring with ISPW directly. I kept getting an error initially. I had to do the below.

- Put 11 pro max in to recovery mode
- iTunes/explorer will indicate there is a software update needed to be downloaded.. let that complete (I did mine on a Mac)
-after the update functions should work fine.. I used Restore in my case.

iPhone 11 Pro Max which once setup I installed the 13.1 beta profile and restarted then did install. Got stuck.

Put into recovery and connected to my Mac which is Running latest version of Catalina. Gets halfway through updating to 13.1 on my Mac then gives an error (1). My iPhone looks like it's still restoring but no progress, after 20 min I unplug the cable and it immediately jumps from around 60% complete to 90% estimated and hangs.

Did this twice, put back into recovery and tried again with 13.1 and no change.

I'm now doing a restore with Catalina to 13.0. Spent around an hour and a half on this so far.

The preparing portion of the install took about 20 minutes, and went from looking like it was halfway done to 90%, then finished quickly from there. Now it’s restarting - and going slow.

Things actually worked without issue. Now restoring from my iMac, with about 8 minutes to go.

So if we are doing a clean install "Restore" of 13.1 IPSW are we looking at any issues? Or is just "updating" method?

Did the update dance this morning to get my new Pro Max set up. Restored from iCloud backup. Everything worked fine except ....no activity awards. They were supposed to be in iCloud. Paired my OLD watch and some of the data came over but not all. My move awards were from June. Luckily still have old phone with correct data on it - it's on the old watch too. Wonder how many times I will have to restore the new phone before I can get this data to move correctly?

I think it takes time for the phone to index the database, I did a direct phone transfer and all my data is there, but my awards tab is pretty bare at the moment, no special awards, or actually any earned awards.

Same here, did direct transfer and currently my awards tab is empty.

That gives me some hope. I did an erase and now I am setting up again with a transfer. Never used this method before-seems cool. I made a full encrypted backup of the old phone in iTunes just in case.

I downloaded Xcode GM 11 and tried again with iOS 13.1 with iPhone in recovery on Catania and it worked first time.

It was cool how it switched my Watch over, I thought it wasn't going to do it, then around 10-15 minutes after the transfer completed my watch suddenly asked if it wanted to be paired and then ran the pair animation and then my watch was linked to the new phone, all data in tact.

And when did you update? If within the last 12 hours, this sort of thing is normal as the phone indexes and logs data. Your experience is not that of most here. On my Xs, it is buttery smooth. But it wasn't in the first few hours post upgrade.

I updated the same day it was released. I do not post things like that 2 hours after updating cause i know that might be the reason why it stutters or lags. I wait 2 days or at least 1 whole day so no, i don't think the phone is still indexing and that's the reason.

Also i have one bug since literally iOS 11 on my iPhone X and i've been sending feedback regarding this every single beta i install - when i open photos app and open a picture that was taken with HDR the animation that opens it stutters a lot. It's only for the first HDR photo and it's happening only after not using the photos app for more than 1-2 hours.

I hope that my watch does that. I made the mistake of doing the erase without un-pairing it. So now the watch thinks it's paired and the phone does not.

Got my new11 pro today and put beta 4 on and I lost all my new 11 pro live wallpapers. Anyone else? How can I get them back?

Did the transfer offer to transfer your watch? Mine did.
