In fact, I just noticed today on 13.2 beta 2 the signal bars finally updating as I drove. iPhone 11 Pro Max.

You hadn’t possibly just driven through an area where you briefly lost service had ya? I’ve noticed that after losing service, the signal bars seem to update for a couple of minutes before going dormant again until the phone display is turned back on.

The "Open app" step in Shortcuts (under "Scripting") can no longer be added to a shortcut.

Previously, it worked and when you click on "Choose" (after the text "Open") it would show all the installed apps for you to select one. Now, clicking "Choose" hangs and you have to quit the Shortcuts app. If you run the shortcut leaving it as "Choose", the shortcut crashes out with an error "No apps to choose from" or something. This worked in the previous beta.

iPP 13” wouldn’t update successfully. Then Catalina wouldn’t give me the option to restore so I had to install iTunes onto my Windows partition. Doing a DFU update now, hopefully my iPad starts working again. Progress bar currently around 2/3s done.

The hang at the end of install reminds me of the issues people had with the latest Catalina beta hanging at the end of install. Wonder if it’s the same issue in both OS versions.

Edit: the update via iTunes worked.

Make sure it’s set in Settings and then force close it and reopen it again. Mine was also stuck at HD (1080p) 30fps till I did that.
Yeah. It’s a problem. If you force close the camera app while in video mode, it retains settings...but if you switch to photo mode then force close, it loses its video settings and returns to 30 FPS. I’ve submitted a feedback report.

It's been a long time since I've had an issue with updating devices on beta, but my iPad Pro 11" got stuck on the Apple logo during update to beta 2 and I'm restoring it right now. Part of the risk when using betas! So strange to see if happening to many others!

same here. But in my case it only works once then stops till I clear Siri cache and turn Siri off and on again.

update: changed accent and gender in Siri settings and seems to have fixed. Reverting back to original Siri and Siri doesn’t speak. So looks like you need to change the accent of Siri to have her / him speak.

Interesting. May explain why mine works...I use a British Siri voice. Jeeves-like!

I can. Used it last night after updating my phone.

and Siri still answers you by voice? Mine stopped talking once I used CarPlay and maps when disconnected from CarPlay. I have to use another English accent for Siri to speak again. If I switch back to American Siri doesn’t talk. Have to keep Siri on another English accent. Reported to Apple.

iPhone Pro 11: Unplugged at 03:00. It is now 08:30, battery at 63%. Phone has been getting warm. When I get home from work I’m going back to beta 1. Beta 1 was awesome compared to this beta version. Bleh.

I use a British Siri voice, so that may be why I am not having issues.

Announce messages with Siri doesn’t work when replying automatically, it does read it out but I set it to reply auto but it doesnt

Same here on 13.2 b1 - but with iCloud account. For some reason my Exchange account seems to work well in the Mail app, but not my iCloud account. The reverse to everyone listing problems with Mail. Have tried numerous "fixes" including deleting accounts & restoring after a hard reset, etc., but no luck, so am back on 13.1.2 for now and using Outlook app. How many versions of iOS 13 (betas and release versions) have there been since iOS 12.4.1? And Mail is still borked.......

I’m back on 13.1.2. I think my Exchange email may be giving me both lock screen notifications and sounds. Nothing has changed, so I’m totally unsure why.

It looks like Apple may have disabled iPadOS 13.2 beta 2 because I keep getting this error. My wifi is working just fine so it must be blocked by Apple. Gonna try the IPSW route.

Definitely do not update iPad Pro OTA, unless you’re ready to restore and update with IPSW. Installed OTA right after release on my IPP 12.9, and spent the evening restoring it.

It’s strange that with the amount of people having the iPad update problems that it is not a headline on this or any of the other apple sites. I literally do not know a single person who didn’t have the problem, yet barely any mention other than buried in forums. It’s not even in the subject line on the forums, just buried in threads like these

Hi, I am using an iPhone XS Max 256gb and I upgraded to the iOS 13.2 beta 2. I am not sure if this has been discussed but I couldn’t find an answer.

When pressing on apps or folders to launch them, do you notice a slight delay before they open? When I press on apps or folders, I feel there is a slight delay before the opening animation kicks in. I know this is a beta and there are bugs but I thought I would solicit other people’s input as well. Thanks a lot for any input.

Not seeing this, everything is instant for me.

I’m surprised too. Came here looking for a thread on it after waiting 5 hours for the update to complete on my iPad. Seems to only be discussed in this thread.

Are your messages disappearing too?

I don't have disappearing emails. Once the emails appear, they stay there. I also don't have other issues that people are experiencing like blank spaces in the email list or double sending issues. I did have this issue on 13.0 but fixed it by deleting the Mail app and re-installing it and this issue hasn't come back since.

My issue is that the notification badge updates in real time but when I open Mail, sometimes the emails are not there and I need to either go back and forth into a different folder or pull down to refresh mail and they will appear.

It seems to be an issue with the All Inboxes not showing new emails even though they are downloaded to the device.

I have 2 Exchange accounts, one work and one Hotmail, and 1 iCloud account. iCloud is rarely used so it mostly Exchange that this happens on. Happens on both iP11pro and iPad Pro.
