What's "silly" is Apple making a PUBLIC beta available for the general audience to put on their development devices. I mean what are they thinking? I suspect the general audience who use the free public betas don't have development devices handy since they are most likely, not developers.

The keyword is Beta... You need go understand that there WILL be bugs. Last I checked, the beta was not a mandatory download.

I’m seeing a couple of significant bugs:
1. The Messages and Mail icons on the Share Sheet are gone.
2. When I try to print a Microsoft Word attachment in a an email, Mail crashes.

Nobody forces people to use beta releases - it is a risk they take on willingly.

Apple states quite clearly in their documentation that installing this software is something you do at your own risk.

You're entirely welcome...and in fact, encouraged, to stay on production releases. You are discouraged by Apple from installing beta software.

If you do not accept the risks of running in development software on your device (and it sounds like you do not accept these risks) then you can find instructions on removing it here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203282

"Silly" is anyone installing beta software without being will to suffer the consequences of potential bugs in that beta software. Apple is not the only company that has beta software programs. Everyone is warned in every single one of them that they, not the developer are responsible if something is not right and that it may very well be.

Had the Speakerphone issue this morning (Skype) so switched to laptop.
Had a call to my roomie (Galaxy 8) and all was good.
Just figured it was Skype.

So ... called 4 folks on speakerphone - 2 heard what they said as an echo, 2 were good. All seemed okay on my end. Looks like there is a possible issue.

XS Max.

Been using my XS Max on 13.3.1 this morning and Mail still has issues. Only issue I am seeing an improvement in is Notifications ... so far.
New Mail issue - I am having problems opening Mail attachments.
Will see how things go.

UGH.......I jumped on this beta because some had reported their exchange mail issues fixed. I had the problem where all was good, just once a notification on my lock screen showed up and I went into the mail app it would take long to load the email (not a huge deal). This beta did not fix it, so I deleted my exchange account from my 11 pro and re-installed it aaaaaaaaaand now mail is really messed up. Not getting push notifications at all.......have to manually update the app.........FML!!!!

Anyone experience Battery Health Maximum Capacity drop to 99% with this build? I was at a 100% with no issues, and after updating to this beta it dropped 1%. Reading from the forum and misc google searchs suggest its not a big deal, but wth?!?
Same. Mine went to 98% from 100%

My battery is worse on 13.3.1 b1 than it’s been in a while. The speaker bug is annoying as all getout but Mail seems improved for me. Except there’s a new bug when I try to share an attachment it crashes the app. We just can’t win with me I have an iOS 13.

Wow guys take it easy! Clearly ALL of you mis-understood my post. I am fully aware about beta firmware, have not complained anywhere about it and understand it is optional. What I was responding to was @iGeneo was attempting to chastise "regular " users for using beta software without being developers and having test devices. My point was and is, that Apple provides a public version once THEY think its ok for a general user to play with. So with @iGeneo attempting to insinuate that only developers with test devices should be the only ones using Apples public beta firmware, my post/reply was an attempt to say otherwise. That clearly if Apple provides a public version for non-developers, then its certainly ok for folks to use it on their regular devices. So Apple would be the silly ones for providing it to non-devs if it were not to be used by non-devs on regular devices. No one see the roll eyes emoji on my response?

Bottom line is the betas suck and the public releases suck.... we are buying thousand dollar devices with software that is not up to par. We all understand the purpose of a beta and most of us on the site know how to switch back-and-forth , these comments are just about the total lack of quality for $1 trillion company.

It’s ok. Don’t let the crabby fools on here get to you. Every time there is a beta some “genius know it alls” come on and start shaming people for complaining. BUUUUUT.... what they fail to understand is that the complaints help people learn what the problems are.

And what more infuriating than anything is that they come online and open a thread dedicated to a BETA to shame people for discussing the issues in that BETA.

I would consider that sort of behavior trolling but that is just my opinion.

Random phone reboots, network settings won’t clear, battery draining, apps respringing, black screen freeze and even my Apple Watch just rebooted all by itself.

What the heck is going on???

Reported everything. XSMax.

Back on 13.3 now. Easy peasy no data lost. Somehow my Mail app seems to be working better than it did before I installed the beta. Don’t know if it will last but Exchange seems to be fine.

This is another beta and understandably there are bugs but the final releases are riddled with bugs as well. When is enough, enough? Bugs this late in the life of an OS are unacceptable. By the time they get the bugs ironed out, IOS 14 will be in beta and the process will repeat.

Maybe the real problem is we keep paying high dollar for their devices regardless of the product they’re giving us.

I do believe that Apple devices are superior hardware wise but from a software perspective they’re lagging behind. While prices go up, so do the bugs. They’re lagging behind in features. They’re no longer innovators, they’re followers. They wait for the other guy (Android) to come out with something and then decide to implement it years later if at all. By the time we get certain features on Apple devices it’s usually old news because the other guy has already had the features for a year or more. Where is the “wow” factor with IOS these days.

Maybe it’s time to change sides and see what the other guy has to offer???

Unfortunately Android is even more frustrating....
