when do you think the public beta will be out ?

It’s
It does, but what I've done in the past, is to turn off keychain before I reset network settings, then turn keychain back on after the network reset. That preserves your passwords.

Not true. Just followed your exact words. Passwords gone. Cheers for that!

I, too, am experiencing echoing and static on the receiver‘s end of speaker phone calls. I’m very happy that my Mail issues have been fixed (still angry it took three months post GM) but saddened that Apple can’t launch software updates without new issues arising. iOS 13 ha d enough issues to begin with. It didn’t need new ones!

Can we downgrade back to 13.3 easily, or is it one of those "probably won't work" type deals. For me, battery life has been awful, of course I streamed music for about 90 minutes so I'm sure that always tends to contribute to that.

Put device into recovery mode and update. The next beta might be till the after the new year

Very easy. I downgraded and the entire process took less than 5 minutes. So it's well worth testing 13.3.1 imo. I downgraded due to the bug that stopped me from being able to use the speaker on phone/facetime calls, but that may not bother or affect you.

Steps:

1. Connect phone to latptop
2. Put phone in DFU mode (on my 11, that's Vol+, Vol-, hold power button for ages)
3. Select "upgrade" from the phone recovery pop-up in Finder (Catalina)
4. Wait a few minutes for phone to install 13.3 and reboot.

I am not sure why that process didn't work for you. I have done this multiple times. I do have more than one device signed in to iCloud, so not sure if that has something to do with it or not, but I'm sorry you had a problem.

Thanks, already have the IPSW, does it need to be in recovery to do it that way or can I just connect and "update" (I remember you used to be able to, but assume putting into to recovery is the best method).

The recovery mode forces iTunes to get the latest IPSW for your device from the server. If you already download the IPSW, you can shift + “Check for Update” and select the IPSW to update.

Got it, I had the IPSW but it downloaded it again, so no biggie. It's running now so hoping it works well, last few times I tried to downgrade (a year ago or so) didn't work out so well, as it told me it couldn't complete the operation or something along those lines.

Edit: Just finished, seems to have worked perfectly, thanks. :)

I have updated the wiki with the loudspeaker bug

kinda seems pointless having these threads if we’re not going to update the initial thread with new bugs.

This is so annoying and many complaints about others hearing an "echo" when Im on speakerphone with them, but I was under the impression this is a hardware/design issue, as not all people have this issue.

I haven’t downgraded from a beta for ages. Does the 13.3.1 beta backup load on to 13.3 release or do I have to reload from scratch?

Surely it’s not a hardware issue since it started after the iOS 13.3.1 beta 1 install and did not occur before this beta.

Does anyone know when the GM of IOS 13.3.1 will be released to the general public, IOS 13.3 was a waste of a update, still having issues with Mail, getting missed call notifications but when I open my call log no name shows of the missed call, still get the occasional lagging or phone freezers.

And I’m using a iPhone 11 Pro

Wow end of January 2020 for a small update, I'm even surprised they released a beta testing for a small update usually it's only for IOS 12, 12.1, 12.2, 13, 13.1,13.2,13.3 etc
[automerge]1576725973[/automerge]
I think it shows that Apple is still yet able to understand the faults and how they can be properly fixed regarding IOS 13, what a disaster which ever team was in control of developing IOS 13 from the start

How funny, they released their best iPhone line up ever with the iPhone 11 Pro / Max but release their worst IOS software ever, I say IOS 13 is worse than IOS 11 in terms of bugs and issues

I don’t understand how they can release a beta with this echo bug. Went right back to 13.3. Nobody will stay on this Beya to test over the holidays. This is a trillion dollar company. We got a man on the moon with way less tech . What is apples doing?
