Warning: if you have a lot of safari tabs open or just a few that you’ve been meaning to go back to on the iPad. DON’T DO A RESET AND RESTORE. You’ll loose them all. It seems there is a bug with restoring safari state and new windows. I lost all 50 tabs I had open. Restoring from a older back up didn’t work.

This happened to my brother a couple weeks ago on iPados13.3. No beta. Opened up Safari and it closed all of his opened tabs he had for months.

Damn man. It sucks. This is the second time it happened to me. First was with 13.1 or so.

Now this. It’s gotten worse. Didn’t even know this bug exists with restoring data. I hope everyone experiencing reports it man. :(

Apple has really lost quality control with software.

So my mail is still broken. I always deactivate my inbox from work over the weekend and it still shows me the previously received emails in my „all“ feed. Not really secure either! They should disappear once I deactivate the inbox
Yes, mail is still pretty much broken, opposite has I said earlier. Don’t wanna use anymore because I loose some important info regarding work meetings, because I didn’t receive any notifications. 😡😡😡😡

I'm not trying to defend Apple on this at all, because of course this is an unfortunate bug.

But at the same time I'm really curious as to why anyone would have any tabs open for months, let alone have 50 tabs open (as @ram130 stated he had)?

I have no clue, I wondered the same thing. :D

If anyone here has an iPad Air 2, does this fix the performance issues? Since 13.2 performance is dismal and got way worse with 13.3. Basically rendered unusable!

Well, this update totally resolved the issues I had with 13.3. My iPad Air 2 is back to the way it’s supposed to be. No more lags, lock ups or crashes the way I was experiencing with 13.3!

A busy life. And when you have downtime you go back and read some stuff. And some tabs for things you saw online but need to research to know if you wanna buy. Then some tabs from articles you was reading but didn’t get to finish cause you got tired or needed to go board a flight and probably a meeting the next day then work right after. That night you got too tired and said “ I’ll finish it tomorrow..”

But you know. Don’t wanna close it yet cause there are some good stuff you wanna finish. Then you open a new tab to go do something else lol. Probably started watching a vid on a site that is 25mins long but couldn’t finish cause you got work..”I’ll finish it tomorrow .”

On my computer I got 60 tabs in one chrome window and another 10 in a next window. It happens. But after months you slowly start closing them as you get “productive” again.

And so on. :(

Isn’t that what the reading list is for? That’s what I use it for anyway.

Didn’t get into it enough to remember to use it. Guess I should.

I’ve had a long running list of bookmarks passed down from OS to OS and from browser to browser, a few of them made their way from a folder to my Bookmarks bar.. but I’ve found myself using the Reading List more and more over time, especially because it syncs across macOS, iPadOS, and iOS. And having the search field just for your Reading List items is great.. But I use it the same way you use the different tabs, and I find that I forget about what I was reading. Sometimes like a year before lol But it’s there.

I wish I got into the flow earlier then. Thanks for the insight. It would have prevented what happened lol.

Sheesh. Imma try to get into it now. Cause I hate when this happens man. There are some gem websites I was on too. But my fault for not saving them to bookmarks.

Life man. We live and learn lol.

The one thing that’s been consistent with any iThings I’ve had is the bookmark and reading list synching. I tried Pocket for a little bit but found myself still opening any links in Safari anyway..

Speaking of which, after today’s updates, I’m seeing synchronization across my MBP, iPad, and iPhone all within a second or three now. At least when it comes to adding things to my Reading List. Which is awesome.

Like someone else pointed out, I would think that is what Reading List (and, to some extend, bookmarks) are for. But I get what you wrote about not getting it worked into your habit. It took me quite some time, actually.

I find myself in all the same situations, that you mention (life and time get in the way of all the things I want to read/watch), but I rarely - like VERY rarely - have more than 2 or 3 tabs open at any given time on my phone :) Reading lists or bookmarks for the win! :)
