My RAM issues (XR) have subsided a bit since installing this update, but I've noticed another issue: Standby drain. Normal battery life while using the phone is good as normal, but standby drain is a mess. Really wish I could downgrade to 13.2.2 or 13.1.3.

You can still downgrade to iOS 13.2.3. Hurry!

IPP 11 - 13.3 PR

Overall performance wise, this build has been good. Saying that here are some noted and reported "issues":
  • Random unexpected app crashes
  • App in task manager will unexpectedly do a complete reload
  • Clipboard has become unstable - copied data will get lost from App A to App B
  • RAM management has degraded
  • Mail issues - ongoing
  • Messaging issues - ongoing
  • Standby battery drain heavier than before
  • Video drains battery faster
  • App launch animations have slowed down again
  • Continued many smaller nagging bugs that continue
  • Siri has apparently become bipolar
Apple apparently has a goal in mind. It does not appear to be a 13 fix anytime soon.

i was ready to go for 13.3 (from ios 12 latest) but reading comments here.....Nope, not yet.

You might want to wait for iOS 14, though I feel even that won’t fix everything.

I can definitely say though if you do an OTA update from iOS 12 to iOS 13.3 and don’t set up the device as new (and possibly even if you do), you will likely run into problems of some kind.

One more issue to add ...
IPP 11 13.3 PR
Using a Logitech ASK.
This issue has only been occurring in Messages.
Open messages > click in reply window > Start typing > press Globe key (lower left corner) on ASK > all atermative keyboards show - select emoji > emoji keyboard shows on screen. about 30% of the time the emoji keyboard closes before you can select an emoji.

Have mot seen this issue on an IPP 12.9 on 13.3.1 PB using an Apple ASK.

Anyone get a phone call bug like I have been getting? IOS 13.3 but I believe it happened in previous versions as well.. I have all of my devices set up to answer phone calls. Well when I get a phone call, all of my devices ring (iPad, MacBook Pro, iPT) and NOT my phone. Like I’d even tap the screen on my phone to see if it’ll eventually ring but doesn’t. So I have to answer the call on another device and my phone is just sitting here.

Since 13 my call thru for my IPP and AWatch became sporadic - can’t count on it. Then my phone will get a call but never ring. So while not the same, I too am having phone call issues with my devices.

I'm using a iPhone 11 Pro running IOS 13.3, sometimes when I come to use the camera when it opens I get a black screen, so I am unable to film or take a picture and the only way to fix it is to force close the camera app and reopen it, it doesn't happen always, I encounter this issue here and there but still never had this issue on my previous iPhones, wondering if it's a iPhone 11 Pro issue or IOS 13.3 issue, anyone else having this problem.

Anyone else have an issue where taking a photo with the camera app causes a bunch of apps to reload? Or is that just something that happens due to all the processing the camera app has to do? Kind of embarrassing, either way.

After upgrade to IOS 13.3. My iPhone XS (GREY BLACK) was a totally nightmare.

My battery keep on draining keep on bugging me, even it's on standby mode. I attempt to restore via iTunes in DFU mode, without any luck.

- Battery health is at 93 %, and I feel the phone is overheating after the upgrade

- After restore 'Face ID is not Available' You can set up Face ID Later when iPhone cool down

Even if I manage to set up the Face ID successfully, it's intermittent working. Messaged reflect on the 'Face ID will be available, when iPhone cool down'

I pop into apple store on 31st December 2019, they claimed hardware is all perfectly fine. But detected error in the sensor issue. They cannot promise me by changing the battery will resolve this issue, it can be damage of the circuit board or Face ID hardware, after firmware upgrade. They also denied downgrade the firmware version.

- I disabled face ID function, the battery keep on draining.

Counter staff having poor knowledge from technical perspective, unable to attention to my queries and attempt to cover up the story by up selling their new products only

To conclude this drama, the in store staff unable to rectify and confirm with me, by changing hardware or battery will resolve the issue. They remain silent and denied the software issue.
They even ask me to fork out 800 bucks to get the phone a replacement change. How I wish I could revert back right now

Just request an warrants exchange for another one. Tell them it’s defective. Show the rep proof and that’s it.

Just lead with that.

Warranty is over, I get the day when it's launched. Its only 1 year 3 month old. They can't do anything.

That is unfortunate. Since that is the only way to keep the device secured, I would trade it in for a new device. However, it means spending $$ to either upgrade or downgrade unless there’s a less costly repair to replace the Face ID. I had an issue one time after updating iOS on older device where the NFC chip had failed and would get constant error after a reboot stating Apple Pay is unavailable. Warranty had ended so I traded it in just so I can give their defective product back to them and save the gift card for future upgrade. It was a testing device and I made a profit from the trade in so win-win for me 😂

Replacing the battery will not fix your draining issue because of the failed sensor. However, there’s a possibility you’ll get a replacement iPhone if they botch your battery replacement or a nice rep decides to. I had one of my out of warranty device replaced from battery replacement.

Even failed sensor, does not help to explain battery draining issue on standby.

You are certainly correct by changing battery will not help, I used the phone normally browsing and social media. The battery can last me 5-6 hour without any problem.

I figure out the auto brightness unable to turn off in accessibility anymore.
There is no True-Tone function to turn off neither. This help to explain why battery non stop draining, if my sensor having issue.

Will that be a possible of software bug on IOS overheating, with everyone here complaint on battery draining and leads to FaceID failure??

Sure it can. If the sensor always thinks it has to be on ... even though it is "off" in the settings ... the fact remains it is defective; hence, it could be continually scanning ... though defective ... but still using battery nonetheless.

Who knows.

Sounds like the poster sadly has to start shopping for a new device.

My 11” iPad Pro has Face ID as well... Does that mean that, if I update my iPad, I will risk myself to suffer this Face ID failure? I really want to update but all the nightmares I read here...

Everybody shared the same IOS 13.3. My 'True-Tune and auto brightness' function is total disappear from the brightness adjustment.

Can I put it this way, even the ambient sensor is defective, all I need to do is to set my brightness level manually. I'm definitely OK with that

This cannot explain why battery drain on idle mode, that is unacceptable with overheating issue. I believes I'm not the only one facing this.

AirPlay and screen mirroring not working with ios13.3 xs max and my samsung q70 tv, do you have the same issue? Its really strange!!!!

Airplay and Bluetooth streaming from iOS13.3 now always crashes my Sky Q box.

Only resolution is to unplug the Q box and restart.

IPP 11 13.3 PR

Happening in most apps, infrequently, but far too often.
Using a Logitech Smart Keyboard with this IPP. When removing the IPP from the keyboard and close keyboard case - keyboard disconnects from IPP - the IPP thinks the keyboard is still attached (?) and the on screen keyboard will not show. That is my assumption. Doesn't show in Settings but all the apps act as if it is still live. Shutting BT off does not help.

After testing a number of scenarios, did find that if I close and kill the app in Task Manager then relaunch the on screen keyboard will show. Usually. If that fails to work a reboot is required.

My battery life on my iPhone XS Max has been garbage recently. 4 hours SOT. My usage hasn’t changed besides just using my phone less. Nothing abnormal going on in battery stats. Nothing new installed. I’m not a fan.
