A Safari tab was frozen again today, scrolling up and down was not possible, changing tabs and reloading the page was perfectly working.

Anybody else seeing this?

It’s interesting that if you search settings on the iPad there is an option for “COVID 19 Exposure” under privacy -> health section in settings, but the iPad does not have a ”health” section under privacy in settings.

same here. Been trying since 1pm. I tried rebooting phone, reboot router, modem no go. Must be Apple servers overloaded.

I’m going to download the ipsw file from Apple and try that way.
Yeah it’s weird. Only way to get the update to show is over cellular. Wifi won’t show any info besides firmware number.

Must admit I do like the lock screen jumping straight to enter passcode when wearing a mask. Good move! If only Face ID could somehow recognise upper part of the face when wearing a mask that would be grand.

I’ve been experiencing this for quite some time now, both on my iPhone and iPad. It’s annoying it’s not fixed yet.

After having bad experiences deleting stock apps, I stopped doing so and just put the ones I don't use in a folder.

I don't understand why Apple gave users this ability if it breaks things. I suppose they wanted to silence the whining people who demanded this feature, but what good is it if it breaks the system? Also deleting stock apps doesn't even delete them; it just clears their configuration data and removes the icon from the home screen.
I just delete Tips, and the Woman's App on the watch

They should’ve done this from the very beginning. If someone wants to try Face ID again, swipe up. If they don’t, the passcode screen now comes up immediately. Win-win, IMO.

Is betaprofiles.com legit?

Yes. I have been using it since goodness, iOS 10 maybe? I know it’s been awhile.

Nothing new there. If I use my hand to cover the lower part of my face 13.4.1 does the same.

I’m pretty sure that could be done, but they don’t want to chance it with Apple Pay etc. probably have it as some stipulations in some of the contracts I would assume for security reasons.

But there is something new. It detects the presence of mask/hand and immediately prompts for passcode AND Face ID simultaneously rather than defaulting to Face ID, waiting the ~10 seconds to auto pop up the passcode entry. The alternative would be to swipe for it to fail face ID, hit face ID in the middle of the screen to generate the passcode entry faster. Saves a few seconds and lots less frustration.

FaceID depends on lower face topography for working; doesn’t seem like it wold be remotely as secure with a mask on. Basically going to look at a face mask as the glove equivalent to touchID’s hurdle.

I have a bug, If I try to create a new passcode for FaceID, the passcode wont sync, exit the app and I got a new notification on settings that tells me "Confirm iPhone Passcode" and then "Update Apple ID Settings" and it keeps asking the iPhone Passcode over and over again. o_O

Nice touch to switch straight to passcode, however I think people aren't thinking about how they can just add two face profiles and still access their device with a mask on. Not saying everyone doesn't know this.. but it doesn't seem like something even tech sites are sharing as a reminder.

Doesn't work. Face ID refuses to proceed with setup when your lower face is obstructed. I had the same thought but it's a no go.

It works but you have to tinker with the mask a little to get the profile to take. I did it a few times and it went through. Now no matter if I wear a mask or not it works well.

Nice. I'll give it another try.
