Go into finder you’ll see your phone there. Then restore like you did in iTunes using the ipsw file.
Thanks for the answer but It does not work!!! I can get to the select file part, then it just does nothing... I feel kinda dumb upgrading first to Mac OS and then not being able to install iOS hahaha

Edit.. I tried with the PKG only on Catalina, didn't help (and yeah, I rebooted :D)

I realize it’s my fault for downloading the beta software but man Apple kinda dropped the ball on this one.

Did you finish downloading Xcode 11?

You don't need to install Xcode if you are running Catalina.
I figured that too so I went ahead and installed it (Catalina).... but the Upgrade or Restore portion of the Finder does nothing once I select the IPSW file. So now lets hope the full Xcode helps

Question : Can I delete the mobileDevice thing after I'll use the iOS 13 beta? I just don't want to have any kind of beta stuff remaining on my computer so I just wonder if I can leave this thing there afterwards or its best to delete this file after and if so how? Thanks.

After downloading the IPSW. Open iTunes and on the iPhone page click restore and the option key on the keyboard at the same time. Select and the IPSW file. I would create a iTunes back up of your iPhone first. The iCloud back up will likely overwrite any existing backups. Backups created with new iOS versions cannot be installed on previous iOS versions. Ps a number of years ago apple wiped iCloud backup and all iCloud contents before launching iOS due to a bug.. so .... back up to iTunes at least once.

As far as I know, it doesn't install any software on your computer. It adds some new profiles and things to iTunes so it recognizes the new OS, but I don't think it actually does anything else. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hmm, it appears to be semi-broken.

Indeed...So, if you upgrade "out of order" then you are out of luck... I kinda get it with Watch OS but maybe they should warn "hey don't upgrade the Mac first or you wont be able to upgrade to iOS!"

So you have to upgrade iOS first? Then upgrade the macOS?

I can see a USB-c hard drive connected my iPad via Files app. However the drive doesn't seem to be available in the document picker in the VLC video player app. Perhaps developers need to update to support it. Hopefully Apple isn't excluding external drives from the document picker.

So for the folks who has this installed?? Anything to report?? Is it worth to take the risk??
