iPhone iOS 13 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

There seems to be a general issue with dictation, at least on my device, with iOS 13 PB1.

I’ve now had crashes on the Messages app whilst dictating, then ironically whilst dictating the report on this crash via the Feedback Assistant and now whilst dictating this post in Safari.

Three crashes on three different applications with the only commonality being dictation.

I am now resorting to dictating within the Notes app and then copying into others as this seems the only stable way for me to achieve this at the moment.

I popped open Spotify and it worked perfectly. Only reason I hang onto google play music is for the free Youtube Premium to kill the ads on the phone for myself and 12 year old (he watches youtube for 90% of his electronics watching lol). Spotify works great on the google home devices we have so thats no problem, its really just the youtube premium on the family plan we would lose that still makes me iffy. Then again with all the rumors of things switching to youtube music, I feel I'm not long for a switch.

Indeed. That says something.he gonna be a great 12 year old in the future when he grows up lol. Spotify has been working fine. Except some days it gets angry and closes after switching to the next track, thank god it’s not consistent. Bugs.

Yea that’s why I use google play music too. I’m still paying $7.99 from its inception. I switched because Google moving over to YouTube music hasn’t been smooth. And lacking in features. Playlists I made. And they seems to be bi polar as hell with their services lol. One day they feel like hey new app, next day, we’re shutting down. So can’t even trust them with YouTube music no more. Weighted my options and tried all services then Spotify won. Plus I get showtime for free. If they get rid of the old pricing. I’ll just pay for YouTube separately. So it’s not much of a worry. Yet.
 
is any one able to have dual sim work for them in public beta.
I have a physical sim and a esim
esim is working fine, phone detects my second sim and when i remove it it pops up mobile plan removed but in the signal indicator i only get the signal strength for the default line, phone app or the messages app it behaves like there is only one sim.
if i turn off the default line and make the other default it works but cant have both active at the same time.
 
After a few days in terms of bugginess and general operations iOS 13 beta is definitely a beta compared to iOS 12.
 
Is Chromecast working for anyone?

Not working for me in the two apps I use Pocketcasts & YouTube

I get the feeling the phones and ipads just keep writing logs and diag files until they fill up when on dev betas. You could sync to iTunes/Finder which will, after a successful sync, delete all those logs (ready to fill up again).

I've only got a 16GB iPhone but an even smaller 5GB iCloud and the above worked for me.
 
Whenever i try and move icons and folders around sometimes it says I let go (which I haven't) and it "spills" the contents of the folder onto the desktop. Some of my folders contain a fair few files!

Go find an app that allow you to type something long (notes app), activate the keyboard and try to move the cursor from anywhere on the keyboard by force touching keyboard. If you can do it, 3D Touch is still on. Off otherwise.

Just a quick question - Will the sing-along-lyrics be enabled via remote or do I have to enable them somehow? Right now, I only have ... > Lyrics via the Apple Music-Now Playing-screen.
 
Hi!

I've tried to set up a shortcut using the "Get Podcasts from library" + the "Chosse from list action" action, which should prompt me a list of my podcast. However, it does not return anything. Am I missing something? Is it working for you on this beta? Thanks in advance.
 
Anybody else having issues with homekit in control center? The accessories are out of order and cant change them
