iPhone iOS 13 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Anyone having issues with Markup not working? For example — I took a screenshot, chose the marker tool, and when I attempt to draw with my finger (I don't have an Apple Pencil to try it with) nothing happens.

I'm on an iPad Pro 11in, running the latest Public Beta.

Did a search and didn't see anyone else mention this.

If it was a new beta, it would h e need a new build number (not just a letter bump)... and would have been billed as DP4.

This was mostly just to get the iPhone 7 models on beta 3.

I guess my XS is being seen as an iPhone 7 and my iPP 11 as a 7 Plus, since I can’t even get the beta to install. :confused:
 
Sorry if this has been mentioned but has auto brightness gone now? I am happy with the light mode and don’t want the dark mode backgrounds etc. Also hate how spell check doesn’t correct words (bug) in messages

Auto Brightness still exists.

My iPhone XS corrects words in the Messages app.

Auto Brightness setting moved in iOS 12 to Accessibility Settings but it's still there.

Yep. Only seems to work the Pencil at the moment.

I've tried on both the iPhone and iPad, they just sit at Estimating time.

I've tried restarting as well as removing the profile, restarting, reinstalling, and restarting (on my phone) to no avail. I'm hoping it's just because Apple is somehow preventing me from downloading the update via tethering (which was never a problem before).

Ah, so the download starts but you seem to get nowhere? Does sound like either Apple or the Mobile Provider are shaping, blocking or throttling there. Any way you can hop on wifi somewhere to check?

I'll be home in a few minutes and on my actual wifi, so I'll report back then.
 
Battery life on my IPP 11" is horrific on this revised beta 3. Went from 100% to 35% with zero usage between 9am and 2pm today. Was having issues yesterday after installing (but held my tongue as I waited for re-indexing to complete). I don't usually kill apps, but I'm going to do so to see if something is running rogue.
 
So, after umming and ahing about downloading the new Public Beta I went ahead. Everything seems to be running smoothly except I have a notification on settings, which when tapped shows “Software Update” as the notification point. When I tap on that, literally nothing happens. I stay on Settings and can’t get to the next screen which would normally say that I am updated. Tried turning the phone off and on again many times, same thing. Any hints on what to do? Maybe I’ll revert to my previous backup which was the PB for IOS12 before the latest one today? Also how can I go back to the “official” IOS and leave the beta for now if that would be more sensible?
I’m on a 6S.
 
Should the bottom of the email screen really look like this ? All the wasted space just looks awful. Why not put the bin on the left side to balance up !

After updating, connection to projector from IPP 12.9” 2nd gen via lighting-hdmi adapter no longer works. Tried to different projectors already. Anybody has this issue? Is there a way to fix it?

It's probably worth signing out of iCloud and back in. Reset of settings is also worth a try if you want to stick with the beta. Failing that (and if there are no other suggestions that others can offer that may help you) to go back to iOS 12 I believe you can do a DFU restore. Hopefully you have a backup from iOS 12 archived.

I’ve noticed (for me) that the first touch of finger when using markup won’t draw (it’s done that for a long time), but touching the screen and then using the finger works fine.

I was pretty persistent. Multiple touches and drags, multiple fingers etc, checked tool settings etc. Does not want to draw with fingers on the iPad.

That is weird, it’s worked for me right through all the betas.

Mine too on my 8plus
