So on Public beta 1 my reminders didn’t sync to my watch after I upgraded them (as expected), but I just noticed tonight they are there. Seems as if Public beta 2 (Developer beta 3) added at least some sort of sync function back to the watch for upgraded Reminders!

Serious question, what's the point of smart invert colours if we have dark mode?

Although Smart Invert is designed as an Accessibility feature, prior to iOS 13 I used it all the time as the closest alternative to Dark Mode.

I had hoped to be able to stop on iOS 13, as we were led to believe it would be a system wide dark mode for all Apple apps and UI with the addition of the Developer Kit too.

It isn’t the case at this stage in the Beta.

Safari still has a white background and has already been debated on here.

The one that really frustrates me though is Apple News which is an embarrassment at the moment with no consistency whatsoever.

The main screen starts off looking great in Dark Mode but as soon as you select any article it’s back to a White Background so it’s pointless.

In PB1, I went back to using Smart Invert - suffering the Whiteness of the main screen to allow me to read articles with a Dark background.

On PB2 Smart Invert is broken as I’ve found that when I exit Apple News and try to turn it off it won’t disable and I have to restart the phone to switch off Smart Invert.

Hopefully Smart Invert will be fixed in the next Beta for Accessibility users and I’m really hoping by the time we get to GM and release that Apple will implement Dark backgrounds throughout Apple News and Safari because it’s a mess at the moment.

Photos bug: I noticed that photos don't show at full resolution when firstly opened in the photos app. Then if you zoom in and out you get the full resolution. The first instance is of reduced resolution or even blurred sometimes. (This could be related to the iCloud Photos settings but iCloud Photos is switce off on my device).

To see: open a photo you haven't opened yet. Take a screenshot, then zoom in and out and take another screenshot. Compare the two screenshots.

Was just prompted with the “Announce Messages with Siri” popup upon connecting my gen 1 AirPods, but the actual switch is missing in Settings —> Notifications. Bummer! Maybe next beta.

Just upgraded to iOS 13 on an iPhone XS Max and damn its quick, however settings keeps indicating "Software update" with the "1" notification but there are no updates available. Any ideas?

Has anybody been able to fix the mail sync and display problems. I have Assi every issues on my XS max but no issue on my iPads. Really annoying.

Hello, does anybody have the "problem" or notes in dark mode and the pencil writing back? In Beta 2 it switch the ink to white and in this beta it switches to black. You can not read that on the black background in darkmode.

I am using the iPad Pro 12".

Battery life on my IPP 11" is horrific on this revised beta 3. Went from 100% to 35% with zero usage between 9am and 2pm today. Was having issues yesterday after installing (but held my tongue as I waited for re-indexing to complete). I don't usually kill apps, but I'm going to do so to see if something is running rogue.

The battery on mine seems to be decent. Not great, but not the nightmare you describe. I was able to install around 5pm yesterday and even with some medium gaming for about 45 minutes, I'm only down to 84% this morning.

Mine seems to have stabilized. Perhaps it was just a prolonged re-indexing or perhaps one of the apps I force closed was the culprit.

Ah, so the download starts but you seem to get nowhere? Does sound like either Apple or the Mobile Provider are shaping, blocking or throttling there. Any way you can hop on wifi somewhere to check?

I almost entirely forgot; as soon as my iPad and iPhone got on my wifi, they started downloading. So I'm wondering if there's some blocking going on. I could see Apple doing it since they won't allow OTAs over cellular, I assume to prevent slower, possibly corrupt downloads from occurring.

For the first time, since Beta 1, I was able to download the stock apps that I deleted from my iPhone XR from the App Store. On Monday this was not possible.

It’s been debated on here before as I alluded to in my post.

I’m of the opinion that’s not a practical approach and isn’t going to happen.

Prior to PB2 it worked with Smart Invert.

Apple shouldn’t be implementing a “solution” that requires hosts to do anything as most will not.

It’s different for standalone apps of course and will be down to the Developer.

Sounds like it may be. Would be interesting to track that over the betas toward release to see if it's consistent.

This will be a hot mess until iOS 13 SDK apps are approved shortly before the public release of iOS 13 in mid-September. I hope they give magazine and other publications an easy tool to "dark mode" articles appearing in Apple News+. Its one thing for app developers with the tools provided in the iOS 13 SDK in XCode. Its another thing for publishers...

Whoa - same here. I even tried this yesterday and it wasn’t possible...works fine now.
