Is signing out of iCloud expected to fix problems with non-iCloud email? My @icloud.com account is working fine but my primary email (IMAP hosted by a provider) has lots of performance problems and deletions not being synced to the server. iPadOS 13.0 (17A5522g) on iPad Air 2
I agree. It did nothing for my Gmail and nothing for the lack of printing an email. iCloud only a slight bump in speed. Still very slow an constant unable to connect errors on both accounts. By doing a soft reset (volume up, volume down, power button hold) when it comes back on I’ll get it to connect, but very slowly retrieve email. And no woosh on sending

I’m using iCloud email so I don’t know if it will fix the issue with other external emails. Worth a try. If not then you’ll have to wait for the next beta hopefully next week

I still can't swipe up to get back to the first homescreen. In App Store, the price on the right side of an app is too dark blue on the black background. YouTube suddenly stopped working more than a day after installing iOS 13 Beta 3.

Interesting. We can remove installed apps from the App Store now.

Have you considered the apps you are using could be at fault somehow?

Yep since hardly anyone reporting their phone is re springing. The problem is figuring which app. The solution to that is a clean install and manually installing each app. One by one each day. That’s gonna take 200 days.

Same here on iPad Pro 10.5.
But it works fine on my iPhone XS Max.
I thought I had this problem. What I realized was that the default line size was just too small. Make the line size very large and see if you still have this issue

hoping by the time we get to GM and release that Apple will implement Dark backgrounds throughout Apple News and Safari because it’s a mess at the moment.

I don’t think saying dark mode is a mess is fair. While it would be nice if dark mode were consistent across the seemingly infinite number of websites, There is a decent reason that it’s not. Apple doesn’t create the content of a website for say, macrumors. It would be very difficult to apply dark mode to various websites and consistently give a result that looks good, and more importantly, is always legible. Inverting colors just isn’t the same thing. I know it was used as an improvised dark mode but they really are two different things, each with their own limitations. As for the news app, I’m confident the logic is somewhat similar.

For what it’s worth, my screen responsiveness has gotten WAY better in the last few days. Beta 3 (version 2) has done much more good than harm for me and my iPhone XS.

We all have our own opinions, hence the beauty of a forum and I believe Apple News in particular is a complete mess and it will be an embarrassment to Apple if it is released in its current form.

They pitched iOS 13 as a system-wide Dark Mode (3rd party apps aside) and it just isn’t the way things currently stand.

The only aspect Dark on Apple News are the opening screens. Literally every article is then blinding white.

What is the point of that?

I have to believe that Apple will come up with a solution for OS controlled Dark Mode (rather than relying on hosts) before release because if they don’t, a percentage of the media and the public will savage this pseudo Dark Mode implementation.

As someone who was using Smart Invert as a workaround both in iOS 12 and in iOS 13 PB1, it was working.

In the absence of anything better, Apple should use that same mechanism within Apple News to ensure a consistently Dark UI both in the menu and in the articles.

They can’t release it like this.

[PS - I’m aware Smart Invert is broken in PB2]

I've been lurking for a while but decided to make an account to point out some things I notice with the beta if I do.
Currently on PB2 on my iPhone X, the UI for the play button on the now playing screen in the Music app seems to be just very slightly out of alignment with the backwards and forwards buttons.

I appreciate the suggestion but it didn’t work for me. It doesn’t work with any line size.

Thanks... now I can't unsee that.

All website & app passwords can be viewed without authentication.

As originally reported on reddit. (inc. video)

A number of users have reproduced this on a number of devices.

Unconfirmed but there is some discussion that disabling FaceID/TouchID is a temporary fix.

Probably worth avoiding this beta for now

Works as expected on my 8. If I hit cancel on the Touch ID prompt, nothimy happens. If I use Touch ID, passwords show.

Nope. Face ID is required for me. Unless they don’t have any passcode, viewing saved password without Touch ID or Face ID should not happen. Still worth submitting as a bug report though, cause this issue may lead to another critical yet rarely noticed issue.

This latest beta actually is more horrible than last

Can you be specific? I didn't run the DP releases until DP3... and there are a few glitches, but IMO, it's not bad for a beta... IMO comments like it's "more horrible..." but without specifics don't move the conversation along at all ... not an attack nor am I saying that you are incorrect. I would, however, ask you to identify some specific issues with which you are having issues.

Bro the wifi issue on my air 3 has become worse
I play mostly 2 games and both of those lags
Files sharing apps dont work correctly
Some songs dont get add up in itunes

So yu see i am not INCORRECT buddy as i cant do all things that i wanna do
Plus why would i write this up if beta was good i mean no one is paying me to say that right ??

Usually normally buddy when someone has a problem with a thing they complain about it
They dont just say a thing is bad without any reason (unless they are crazy that i am not)

Plus i now it is beta but still i can share my views

Fair enough...but let me just remind you, we all use our gadgets in a different way, so experience is totally different.
If you have complains, describe them and file the report to Apple. That's why this thread is for, isn't it?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Maybe (and I am being serious here) we should have a "Beta complaint" thread where people can just go and rant and say whatever they want about their experience with the betas. No comment would be too extreme or undesirable in that thread. Maybe that will relieve some of the pressure in these beta discussion threads. This is how the Speculation threads were created as well.

Thoughts? (@Weaselboy and @maflynn, would welcome your thoughts as well)
