Maybe (and I am being serious here) we should have a "Beta complaint" where people can just go and rant and say whatever they want about their experience with the betas. No comment would be too extreme or undesirable in that thread. Maybe that will relieve some of the pressure in these beta discussion threads. This is how the Speculation threads were created as well.

Thoughts?

That might be fun. If it were up to me, it would need to go in the PRSI area, just to be safe. </S>

Bro the wifi issue on my air 3 has become worse
I play mostly 2 games and both of those lags
Files sharing apps dont work correctly
Some songs dont get add up in itunes

So yu see i am not INCORRECT buddy as i cant do all things that i wanna do
Plus why would i write this up if beta was good i mean no one is paying me to say that right ??

Usually normally buddy when someone has a problem with a thing they complain about it
They dont just say a thing is bad without any reason (unless they are crazy that i am not)

Plus i now it is beta but still i can share my views
If you read his post, you will see that he says he is NOT saying you are incorrect, but asking for more details.

Obviously, you complained for a reason. In order to make the post more constructive for the thread and everyone reading, he was asking you to provide more details of why you felt that this beta was bad.

Your post here would be like filing a bug report with Apple that says - "Worst than the last". They would have no idea what to even attempt to fix.

Edit - To keep my response relevant to the thread, PB2 has been great so far on my IPP Gen 3. Couple of small graphical errors that I reported to Apple, like duplicate buttons in the Messages app. I, thankfully, have not seen the touch disease issues like others.

I'd avoid it like the plague, but it should be in the iOS 13 section of the board. Think of it like a "scream room", where you can go and say whatever you want about how much you hate the beta or this and that other feature. Maybe replying to posts could be turned off so that no one is quoting anyone else. You just go in, scream and leave! (that last one is probably fanciful, I know...)

^Model poster, right here, folks!!!

How can I tell which beta of ipados I am on, it just says 13.0?
I almost went back to 12 as my WiFi kept on dropping but updated to the latest public beta and the WiFi has been rock steady ever since,

Is beta 3 just the developer beta or the public beta?

If you tap 13.0 in Settings -> General -> About, it will reveal the build number.

Build number of revised DB3 /PB2 is 17A5522g.

Second line down will show iOS version touch it and you will see the build version.

My bad sorry

Can you please make a thread in the Site and Forum Feedback section with this suggestion so we don't get diverted here with an off-topic debate about this issue.

Anyone else lose connection on a daily basis to maps? I will fire up google or apple maps and get an error saying no internet connection. I need to go airplane mode and then back on. This is XS max and I never had any of the connection issues people had on IOS 12 when I ran it.

In order to being able to clear the safari history or get the private tab button back, disable the “Screen time” feature. Working as it should after that (you can enable it again if you want).

This fixed it! If you are missing the Private Browsing button in Safari on either iOS 13 or iPad OS 13 developer betas OR are unable to clear history in Safari either through Settings or in Safari, you have to disable Screen Time for some reason and those functions will work properly again. I do not know why this is the case, but turning off fixed for me!

This happened to me yesterday.

Is anyone else having CarPlay problems with 5522g?

It connects, but the new display and menu choices that were available in 5522f are now gone. Pressing CarPlay on the car’s menu screen does nothing. CarPlay music can be accessed through the car’s Audio choices, but Maps can no longer be displayed on the car’s screen, which is a MAJOR loss. And the only way to change apps is on the phone, which means pulling over.

This is true with both of my cars, each of which had CarPlay compatibility and worked fine with iOS 12 and with 5522f.

Any ideas anyone?
Turn off bold text if you have it on, your car play will work then!

For anyone experiencing Mail app issues with their Exchange account...I deleted and re-added my Exchange account and suddenly everything seems to be working correctly. Maybe worth a shot...

We all have our own opinions, hence the beauty of a forum and I believe Apple News in particular is a complete mess and it will be an embarrassment to Apple if it is released in its current form.

They pitched iOS 13 as a system-wide Dark Mode (3rd party apps aside) and it just isn’t the way things currently stand.

The only aspect Dark on Apple News are the opening screens. Literally every article is then blinding white.

What is the point of that?

I have to believe that Apple will come up with a solution for OS controlled Dark Mode (rather than relying on hosts) before release because if they don’t, a percentage of the media and the public will savage this pseudo Dark Mode implementation.

As someone who was using Smart Invert as a workaround both in iOS 12 and in iOS 13 PB1, it was working.

In the absence of anything better, Apple should use that same mechanism within Apple News to ensure a consistently Dark UI both in the menu and in the articles.

They can’t release it like this.

[PS - I’m aware Smart Invert is broken in PB2]
We do indeed have opinions, and I’m not trying to diminish yours, nor do I necessarily disagree. However, it is very unlikely that you will see dark mode pushed to articles. News outlets want you to read black text on a white background. Why? Because despite what tech companies like to claim, dark mode has not been shown to relieve eye strain or improve focus. In fact, studies show that cognitive abilities are higher when reading black text on white background. Now maybe this is because it’s just what our brains have been habituated to, I don’t know and that is beyond me. I’m just trying to set your expectations. Apple is unlikely to implement complete and total dark mode for a variety of reasons. For you and others that do want that, I hope they will bring back the invert colors of old
[doublepost=1562899866][/doublepost]I seem to notice more sites where iOS 13 doesn’t suggest a password compared to ios 12.

Calm down; take a deep breath and get off the beta train. You don’t seem to have the temperament nor the need to be on it.

Furthermore, Apple clearly warned thrill-seekers this time. So it may be argued and even expected that this beta journey to the fall release isn’t going to be a smooth one at all.

Kindly temper your frustration and reply calmly. No one is out to hurt you or belittle you/ your ego.

Had a weird issue yesterday whereby my iPhone XR completely locked up on the mobile network.

It looked like it had 2 bars of 4G (LTE is branded 4G in the UK) but when I went to use it no throughput. Put the phone into airplane mode and the service never returned and was stuck on searching.

I reset network settings which fixed the issue, not sure if it was the actual settings reset that fixed it or the reboot the phone does but either way it’s working as normal again now.

YouTube just started working again. A few days after installing beta 3 it suddenly began to crash, now it's back :)

On this beta, I no longer get the weather on my wake up (Bedtime) lock screen in the morning. Is it the beta, or has a setting changed somewhere? Thanks

Anyone experiencing issues with sharing an app via iMessage to a non-iOS 13 beta user resulting in iMessage crashing anytime they attempt to open your thread with them?
