my email client works perfect on this BETA!!!! since i been going from beta to beta to beta for 1 year, i decided to do a clean install and its completely fine my CS MAX this ios 13 beta, no issues, i love it ROCK SOLID and battery life is amazing also, from 4 AM when i unplugged my phone and when i get home at 5 PM, iat 5 PM i have like 15-20 percent left and i use my phone non stop, FB, movies, etc, etc heavy screen up time and thats how long-my battery last.... if i barely use my phone, i can go from 4 AM till 10 PM with out any issues at all and be left at 20 percent left

Oh great to know that you’re the one person it works for... congratulations.

If I „delete“ images from Messages, they are actually not being deleted. It’s like the newly added (returned) delete button in the latest beta does nothing. Oddly enough it doesn’t happen with every contact

Using outlook, if I delete a message in my inbox, using the mail app, it goes to the trash. BUT upon going into trash and deleting the trash it appears the messages are gone!

When logging into outlook.com and looking in the trash all deleted messages are still there!

come on Apple! Please fix the mail app!

The backup from which you are restoring must be iOS 12... you cannot restore a backup created in iOS 13 onto a device running iOS 12.
Oops, should have expanded on the point that I took a backup BEFORE upgrading to the beta. have updated my original post to reflect this.

Does anyone have an issue with unread mail? When I go into mail app it doesn’t show, I have to either press the unread filter or go back to the mailboxes then back in and mail is there.
Yes. Mail is a weird mess when you go into it from a notification. You need to exit the (combined) inbox and go back into it for it to refresh properly. And even then it doesn't always work.

As Mail doesn't seem to have changed much in iOS13 as far as the display of mails is concerned, it's fascinating how Apple keep finding ways to screw it up differently each beta. I wonder what errors the next one will bring! Sweepstake anyone?

I was actually just going to ask what drastic changes were made to make Mail such an issue through this beta process. I haven't been on the beta since the second one but I don't recall seeing anything substantial.

Don’t think it’s new to the beta (though maybe?), but in Music app Artists “bubbles” are now filled with the most recent album release, if no official photo used on Artists’s page. Looks much cleaner/uniform.

The Twitter issue is not fixed and now IG

DM too is having issue similar to Twitter

I don’t know how it is in english but in german the keyboard is always changing the previous words I wrote and I have to delete all the text again. Worse than Gboard and Swiftkey.

Same in English. if you mistype a word, the keyboard makes a seemingly random guess as to what you meant, and then it looks at the previous word and changes that too, so that it fits better with its guess.

I've not tested it, but I suspect even if you don't mistype a word it may go back and decide your previous one isn't a good fit to the word you've just typed and change it.

Best way is to use iTunes to “Update” using iOS 12 IPSW so you can retain all your existing data. Just make sure to do full backup before attempting.

Historically this worked for me on iOS betas. It also worked earlier in the iOS13 beta cycle. However when I asked Windows iTunes to shift+“update” an SE from DB7 to 12.4 iTunes gave me an unknown error has occurred message and put the phone into a DFU state.

Only way out from there is to let iTunes install 12.4 and then either use an old 12 backup (losing data) or alternatively upgrade to a beta build and use the backup that Banglaze told you to make.

That’s what I figured. Thanks!

Did you manage to get back to 12.4?

Contact matching in any app that uses contacts (particularly mails) is wonky as heck.

None of my contacts have their avatars in their mails because the mail to contact matching seems to be case sensitive for both the label and mail address. So when the mail shows „Last, First <mail@test.de>“ it wont match a contact that only has the mail address saved, nor will it match if the label set for the mail is not the default label you get when you open the mail address details page (seems to be „email“ now).

Same goes for iMessages sent to mail addresses. Has to match 1:1 including label or it wont connect properly.

"Oh great to know that you’re the one person it works for... congratulations."

I have 3 Gmail & 2 AOL addresses and have always used the Mail app. I haven't had any problems with it on an XS.
I don't receive that many emails so I turned "Notications" and "Fetch New Data" off. Works great.

How is everyone's battery life? I am on the newest public beta and this is the first time that i have really seen a drop in my battery life. I was at 25 percent at 3:00pm. Phone came off the charger around 6am

Did you check if you have accessibility on for voice? Could be that too cause I have that issue before

Nope. And I'm pretty sure it's a swipe autocorrect issue. I can swipe slowly enough while watching and see it making the changes. It's trying to be clever. Either it's failing, or it's outsmarting me. Either way, I don't like it :)

I purchased apple music on ios 13 beta 7 and every time i try to play a song it opens a window that says you are already a member but the song doesn't play... Any help?

Shortcuts app is gone. I tried to download it from the App Store and I get this. I have a max xs.

I’ve not seen this mentioned in any other of the beta threads, so:

Has Apple found a way to stop the “Hotspot trick” of connecting one phone to another’s hotspot to update over cellular?

For me the last few updates stop at Update Requested when on a hotspot, but immediately download as soon as I connect to real WiFi.
That happened at Red Robin the other night when there was an iOS update. Their Wi-Fi wasn't working, so I went on my Wife's HS, but the update was showing Pending or such. But there was no message to reference the reason.
