Weird, I was able to download it, but now I’m not able to install it..it needs 50% or being charded so I plugged it in like you can see.

But still can’t install it, even restarted the phone

I think that even when charged it needs to be over 10 or 20%, even tho it’s not explicit.

That would be iOS 13.0.1, not iOS 13.1.

iOS 13.1 will be bring new emojis, and possibly a feature the 2019 iPhones will bring. Probably something to do with the cameras.

Aye. We won’t see a 13.0.1 beta until after GM at the earliest

Well hopefully they labeled the update wrong, because this makes zero sense.

I guess that means IOS 13.0 is frozen for release in the way it was in Beta 8 and now this is 13.1 beta 1 to fix anything missing/broken.

I wonder if 13.0 has gone Golden Master then. If so, I guess it’s time to delete the beta profile.

Mind you, I’m on the public profile so no guarantees it will get the 13.1 beta 1 build today, or at all.

You think beta 8 = GM?

Well once you install 13.1 beta, you likely wouldn’t be able to get the 13.0 OTA betas anymore even if they existed, so I’m guessing they might have stopped with the betas on 13.0.

That doesn’t guarantee the last 13.0 beta is the actual GB though (although it probably would be). They’ve occasionally released a final GM that had a higher build number than the last beta. Or at least they’ve done that on OS X. Dunno about iOS.

Here’s hoping there’s something in there about the new iPads and iPad Pros. :)

Or it means they’ve finalised 13 for GM, so are now working on 13.1. I’m sure they’ve done it before a few times where we get a x.1 beta before the GM of a x.0 release.

Still there for download.

Means my post was right, that there wouldn’t be another beta before GM.

Aye. We won’t see a 13.0.1 beta until after GM at the earliest

Dunno why, due to the 13.1 beta, it’s highly unlikely we will get anymore iOS 13.0 betas and it’ll be GM the day of the new iPhone event.

Unless this 13.1 beta 1 release was a mistake, this indicates iOS 13.0 has been internally finalized and the last "update" we'll see is the GM on the iPhone keynote date in 2 weeks. I'm sure there will then be 13.0.1 released on the same day that iOS 13 is released to the public, or the date the new phones go on sale.

Keep in mind if you intend to get the new phone and restore your current phone backup to your new phone via iCloud, you should NOT update to this iOS 13.1 beta, as you won't be able to restore to iOS 13.0 or 13.0.1 on your new phone, until Apple release an iOS 13.1 beta build for the new phones for you to upgrade and restore to.

Mail still seems a little lethargic on 13.1 for my iPhone 7.
Testing it against my gmail account and gmail is instant while the iOS mail app is sporadic at best. Push enabled for both and iOS lags in late every time.

I’m still seeing issues with mail, too. Folders not updating and badge count showing incorrect. So disappointing.

FYI you quoted me and then your post said almost exactly what I did, other than about the backup bit

Gmail in iOS app has been borked like that for ages. Ever since the whole period where Google killed push a few years back, it’s never been the same.

My iCloud & outlook accounts work perfectly tho.

even if its plugged, battery has to be at 50% or it wont install. happened to me on a few beta's back.

Will be interesting to see what the public beta profile gets, I can't see them leaving public beta testers without a way to get on the release OS they release in a couple of weeks, unless it's going to be 13.1 released to the public.

As I will be upgrading my X to one of the new phones I've removed the dev beta profile for now.

They will get the GM build, as GM will be a newer build, when they release that to the public (I can’t remember If they get it before the public release or with the Devs). Same as they always do.

I see no problems. You only have to install the profile on new iPhone, upgrade to 13.1 and then restore from backup.

Oh no. Took beta without thought and now I have 13.1. If 13.1 doesn’t cover new phone I’m stuck with setting up as a new I guess. Oh well, might make sense to start new phone with clean install.

Ok, didn't really know that so that would explain a lot. I had been using my Gmail app which works perfectly on my iPhone 7 for my email services but wanted to try the IOS app since it now has a dark mode which I prefer. Maybe at some point they'll give us a dark mode for the Gmail. Probably doubtful.

if my memory is correct, in the past there wasn’t a beta version for new issue phones for awhile after they released. Anybody else remember that
