Correct, it does not work like it should. It just lowers the volume of whatever music you have running. In beta 1 it would make the notification sound but not read out but still lower volume. At the same time it was conflicting with Carplay and SIRI would not read anything out.. this included using Maps. This was fixed in Beta 3 but announce messages still does not work. It will be corrected in the GM.
 
Erratic behaviour in Watch app of iOS:
The active status "On" made in Watch App > My Watch > Mail > Custom > "Ask Before Deleting" is not retained after choosing the "Mirror my iPhone" instead of Custom. The "Ask before Deleting" status of "On" reverts to the "Off" position upon selecting "Mirror my iPhone".
Anyone else?

2 reasons why people think next week:

glyphs found in ios 13.2.... If they weren't coming out until 2020 why would Apple put glyphs in the ios builds this early?

And to make money... Releasing them now will have them available for sale during the holidays. Releasing them early in 2020, people will have spent so much during the holidays that they are less likely to by a $250 item early in 2020

I just feel so much hype is made and so many things don't happen, like the MacBooks etc October event, apple might be fooling us with these leaks or they are just there way early, things get delayed all the time, the hype sometimes ruins expectations

I have had so many issues with watch OS 6 it is unreal. Battery life on my 4 is drastically worse, the watch takes forever to turn on watch doesn't sync properly and sometimes takes like 2 hours for all my messages to sync and get current after I turn on the watch, etc. etc. I really hope 6.1 fixes some of this stuff. It has ruined my experience with the apple watch. Everything was fine with 5.0 and beyond until 6 came around.

6.1 supposedly fixes battery life issues. looking forward to it.

Think public release today or Thursday. Thursday is a common day for iOS releases. Maybe a beta today that is final version for release later.
 
ok sweet, I honestly didn’t think we would get one today, I pray this fixes all my issues and is the final beta

really hoping this fixes the ram issues and maybe my airpods connection issues

I think Dan does a good job of speculating and it just happens to be he is off by a day. At least he consistent with his guesses, that's what makes me want to come to this forum everyday to check. Others are using the cat or fish but I think Dan is closer. Keep speculating Dan!
