But. iOS 13.2 IS required for the new beats. Which is coming out tomorrow. (Supposedly).

Sorry fella, your post has confused me. I don’t see the correlation between the iOS version being needed and further betas? Explain in very simple terms for me will you LOL?

You will not get any phone now which has 12 loaded. I don’t think any device packed 3 months ago will be on the shelves.

Bought an XR for a friend a week ago which was running 12. something, because the backup from the old phone was on 12.4.1 and whatever the XR had on it was too old for that backup to be restored, so had to be 12.4.0 or older I guess.

I'm curious how Apple's earnings release (after market close Wednesday) plays into any potential updates/product releases this week. I'd imagine they'd announce anything prior to this to help investors understand their forecast for the holiday quarter better.

What I found with Best Buy, which makes sense, is that they stopped ordering lower-volume phones like the XS Max in June. So the latest I could find was 12.3.1 (predicted based on serial number), but they had a lot of those. They also had quite a few regular XS phones with 12.2 and 12.3.x loaded. I really want stable, functional email with 12.4.1 so I bought an XS Max last night second hand that has 12.4.1. The Mail problems with 13 are a crippling problem for me at work.

I must commend you for being able to purchase a new iPhone just for the sake of having a functional Mail app.

I’d say today also , if they want that first buyers in Australia and NZ wednesday morning can use them , it would make sense to release 13.2 today and not tomorrow.

Nothing to commend. The Mail app is the only one that works with our MDM and it is now randomly completely failing to deliver a small number of emails, but since it's work, that's simply untenable. It helps that I can rationalize it this way: I paid only $40 more than what Apple would currently give me as a trade-in credit. My wife needs a new phone, so I figure that when (if?) 13.3 brings Mail back to life we'll trade the XS Max back to Apple and I'll treat the $40 as "rent." But...WTF is up with Apple and 13?

Yeah wouldn’t be a good experience if the pairing screen has a placeholder graphic for their new headphones like In the imore video.
