I get holidays etc., but why even release a beta 1 and then wait 3 weeks (its 3 weeks 1 day today, was released Tuesday 12/17); why not just wait until 2020 for beta 1 on a normal cycle?

It's a bit of a baffling strategy/decision to make.
Maybe they see more time for bug reports as an advantage versus everybody being on a release version for that long break.

Hard to say really. I asked the same question either here or in the 13.3.1 thread but I don't recall the response.

Next beta will be next week. They’re redoing their testing to catch bugs and some internal changes. Hence the delay. If anything and things go well, then Thursday Friday.

I guess that won't be happening for iOS13 anymore. It was reported, that those internal changes are beeing applied to iOS14 development.

My guess is that today will come something - public release due to O2 UK Bug or new beta.

This is a .1.1 release and a beta 1 into 2 at that. Nothing is going to suddenly improve to 100%, that is a pipe dream after half a year of iOS13. It would have been fixed by now if they wanted to or could.

This releasing beta 1 and almost a month wait is very odd though. Maybe an XR UK fix for that bug? Not sure

We might be back to bi-weekly releases? 🤨unless we get something Tomorrow or later on in the day.

I think clearly there is some issue that is causing this delay. Most likely a fix for the O2 connectivity issue. It may well be that there is a patch release for that, unrelated to 13.3.1, that has been all hands on deck

I think with the way Christmas has fell they just haven't had to the time before and after to prepare a new beta/update.

One can not expect the stock Mail app working 100% after 6 months of the release of a new iOS.
You have way too high expectations
I expect it to be rectified in 2021. That’s why I said not to expect quality improvement just by delay of release of 1 beta this week.

The speaker phone bug is driving me up the wall. I know someone is going to mention downgrading, but I'll be honest the last time I did that it was a train wreck. I had so many stability issues...... I am really hoping the UK bug will cause a release that allows me to get off the beta.
