They stay present in Notification Center on the iPhone as well.

The problem with notifications moving off the lock screen and to the notification center is that they remain out of sight and then out of mind.

I prefer how on Android the notifications are always in your face - you keep the ones you care about and get rid of the ones you don't. On iOS, the notifications I care about are often hiding under dozens of notifications I could care less about. I can't tell you how many times I find a notification in their I wasn't even aware of and to make it worse, I have to make a conscious decision to check notification center so it becomes a chore.

I think Apple could do a lot here to improve the experience.

It seems that you can remove notifications you don't want and leave the ones you want in iOS as well. As far as making an effort to check Notification Center, isn't it like that when it comes to Android where you still have to go somewhere to check notifications?

I love the new haptic feedback in the Google keyboard......would love to see native swipe + haptic feedback on Apple's keyboard - it's embarrassing that google has a better keyboard than apple's native keyboard - the only thing I don't like about Google's keyboard is the voice dictation. In general 3rd party keyboards suck because of Apple's terrible implementation (inability to remember keyboard and reverting back to Apple's)

What if iOS 13...

- doesn’t have dark mode
- volume hud is same
- no major redesign
- doesn’t support iPhone 6/6s
- higher iPhone 11 prices

What if iOS 13 is minor update like just saying iOS12xr with some more emojis.

Will you still upgrade / stick to Apple iPhone? Switch to Android?

I’m kind of stuck with apple. All my friends have it and it’s just so much easier to be able to send high quality videos to them. Me and my friend send videos to each other back and forth every day.

I dunno...what if they revert to binary or hexadecimal output? Might be a deal killer for some!

Especially for iPad, I would like to see support for more professional, more capable apps. I hope the app developers step up to provide those apps as well.

My guess is that it will include 2 new/improved things like dark mode, better file support, and some sort of major change to the front pages.

I would not switch.

If Apple repackaged iOS 11 and called it iOS 13, I would not use Android.

If Apple stopped all feature updates, and only made bug and security updates for the next 5 years, I would not use Android.

If you funded all of my future phones, if only they were Android, I would buy iPhones and still not use Android.

If they don't make it possible for the iPhones 6 and 6s and SE, they wouldn't do it better than Google with Android.

As mentioned, iOS 13 is supposed to be more iPad focused. For my phone use, I’d be more interested in what the hardware changes will be.

Tim Cook: boy do we have an exciting update for you today! We are taking all the stability fixes and security enhancements from iOS 12 and making them even better! And that is iOS 13

Dark mode coming to iPhone XI only because the XS doesn’t have enough processing power to handle turning off pixels throughout the OS
