I think that what would make the most sense would be a beta 10 (today?) so they have a few days before the holiday to receive feedback, and then maybe a GA candidate release next week (early in the week- like Tuesday).
I am also expecting that on the 20th, when we are setting up our new phones, we will have a 13.01 release to deal with, followed by 13.1 beta early the next week.
Did you mean beta 9? :p. We're currently on beta 8 and I can't see Apple releasing beta 9 AND 10 in the same day.

That’s not been the only Friday, just the easiest one I’ve found. There’s also been a beta on a Saturday before too. So, less of the mocking, from someone that’s obviously not been around for all the betas.

Never said it was the only case and I never said it wasn't possible. Just pointing out that your guess of a scheduled Friday release is a long shot at best similar to placing a high risk bet at the casino.

Anyone that's watched all the betas should know that a much more likely release would be today or Wednesday - not Friday.

But it's all good, going against the odds is fun, especially when there's really nothing to lose.

3D Touch and Haptic Touch work at the same time isn't that annoying? I think it should be fixed. If you have a 3D Touch device only 3D Touch should work.

No 9to5Mac post, no beta today. Will buy a MBP for one MacRumors user if I’m wrong

There have been betas with no 9to5 post at all, and some where the 9to5 post is just 15 minutes before release. So it's not a surefire indicator.

Oh and I'll take the new 16" when it's released please :D

But the holiday is not also the Friday, like was implied?

Nobody’s mocking anyone.

The logic expressed above that it is unlikely that Apple will seed a beta immediately before a long holiday weekend in the US is low is probably correct. The one Friday you mentioned, and the Saturday release, were both urgent fixes.

Given the other days of the week still available to it, there is no reason for Apple to wait till Friday. But that’s just my speculation... based, however, on empirical observation on how all the past betas have gone.
