Turning scenes off doesn’t work for me.
They didn't work for me yesterday, but they're working today. I can't turn my lights off though.

Edit: I mean turning scenes on; I'd never even thought about turning a scene off. I just ask Siri to turn all the lights in that room off, which used to work.

I guess I'll have to try and create a scene where they're all off. Hue won't let me create a scene with all the lights off. Home app has no such problem though - done.

From the comments here, this beta seems fairly buggy for a third beta of a .x version that’s been in development for four weeks. Normally there are some comments to the effect of “running smooth on my <insert iPhone model here>.” Not seeing many of those, but seeing lots of people describing bugs or unexpected behaviors.

Is this the case, or am I drawing the wrong inference about people’s experience with this beta?

I haven't used my phone a ton since updating yesterday, but I haven't had any issues.

Is it by design that a widget only becomes available if you launch the app first? For example: Spotify updated today, but I couldn’t add/see the widget until I launched the app.

Is that widget behavior or a bug?

That’s bs caused I have it on XR and all my other devises
I show version 18B5061e and no update available.

Thinking ahead to the 23rd, and wondering if we'll be able to restore from an iOS 14.2 backup to the new iPhone 12 / 12 Pro. I seem to recall this being an issue a year or two ago.
Sometime in the morning of the 23rd, Apple will post a beta of 14.2 for the iPhone 12's. You will need to upgrade to this and then restore your backup.
For those who haven't done this before, the steps are:
Do a quick setup of your new phone. Skip anything that they will allow you to skip.
When done, Go to the Apple Developer page on Safari on your new phone.
Download and install the beta profile.
After the reboot, Go to Settings/General/Software Update and install the 14.2 beta.
After the Reboot, got to Settings/General/Reset and select Erase All Contents and Settings
After the reboot, Set up your new iPhone 12 as normal including restoring your backup.

Anyone experiencing random wifi disconnections/cut-outs? Both my iPhone 11 and iPad mini (fifth generation) are on the latest beta but I mostly seem to be experiencing said issue on the phone—perhaps due in no small part to it being my primary device.

Don’t remember experiencing this issue on any prior release (beta or otherwise) although I, too had the delay-upon-first-network-connection issue that seemed to plague many if not all devices on the last beta.

Running smooth on my 11. No issues and all and would even say it’s running better than 14.0.1

Currently have 14.2 beta 1 installed and skipped over beta 2 as a bunch of people said they had issues. Is beta 3 back to beta 1 stability?

Calls still don't appear on Apple Watch, only after restarting the phone. Then it's back to not working again after a while.

Maybe "Quick Start", where you hold the phones close together and don't restore from backup, will work across iOS versions? I've never tried.

But does the audio still switch? I’m okay with no notification as well as long as when I press play on either device it knows where to connect.
Yep audio still switches fine and it shows the notification when doing so; tested between my iPhone and iPad.
