Anyone felt this “battery drain” issue on 14.2 that’s all over Apple news? I don’t even remember it being an issue in beta testing, right?
Yeah, for me personally my XS had great battery life on 14.2, much better than any 14.1 revision. I was a bit surprised to see reports of battery issues in 14.2. Though it sounds like for the folks that have encountered it it’s a hell of a bug...saw reports of losing 50% charge in like a half hour, which is crazy! Guess we’ll see how 14.3 pans out...

yeah one chap had to charge his phone 4 times in a day. He lost 25% on his lunch break. Would. Not. Be. Happy.

12.5 hrs screen time on a full charge down to 20% on my new 12 - I was testing a website in safari on mobile. That’s on 14.3. Bloody amazing phone and battery.

IPP 11, 12 ProMax, and 11 ProMax - currently updating to RC
The iPad 11 and 12 ProMax - neither displayed the "Agree" screen when initiating the update. Only the 11 ProMax displayed it.

I was under the impression that this should always show up ...

Initial Issues:

Messages:
IPP 11 - Badges are not indicating on the IPP. They are showing on the 11 ProMax (RC) and the 12 ProMax (beta 3).
Rebooted the IPP - did not solve the issue.

Reported via Feedback.

Is the lack of Wi-fi calling issue common on beta 3? Are there many folk with no issue of this. May skip this RC as it’s my main device and Wi-fi calling is essential to me. Installing RC for iPad now.
Wifi calling works perfectly for me on 14.3 RC on my 12 Pro Max.

Next ... Mail
IPP 11
Have 3 accounts on the IPP. The order of the accounts above and below are different. (See attachment).
The count is incorrect 😱 (Unread accounts <> Unread total). This is post reboot.

Next ... Onscreen KeyBoard and Magic Keyboard
IPP 11
When attached to the Magic Keyboard (MK), the onscreen keyboard keeps popping up when you select any field you can type into.
This does no occur with the Logitech Folio

Both reported via Feedback.

Beta program become so boring since one or two years that it’s no worth to follow it

only it amazing the summers betas and this year I think that only the two or three firstly. No new features in any other major updates. Report bugs seems like speak against the wind

I hope you’re right — I’d love to see it this week.

Can’t really see Apple releasing the RC today and then putting out the official release two or three days later, but stranger things have happened.
I can see exactly that. I expect a final release on Thursday.

App Library.
Folder: Recently Added
The 8 items in the folder during beta 3 have changed with RC. Have not added any new apps. The apps listed though changed.

Settings
Notifications > Government Alerts
I keep these off. After installing RC (12 ProMax) these alerts are now on.

This week or next week?
Almost certainly next week. Apple loves telling customers that they need to have a certain software version for a much anticipated offering like Fitness+ and then pulling the rug out from people by delaying the software by 3 days. Great for PR!!!!

My observations so far running this on my 12 Pro.

Stability/Performance: Overall finding this more stable than beta 3, as I previously was having some Safari freezes, a few resprings when using Airplay 2 and camera launching to black screen frequently. With that said, I find this release to not be quite as fast and perhaps the animations have been slowed down slightly compared to beta 3.

Cellular: Finding better connectivity for both data and voice in fringe signal areas. WiFi calling has connected more consistently as well. Not sure if the modem firmware changed, but noticed these changes right away as I live in an area with very low signal strength (LTE and 5G.

Battery life: While too early to tell, not seeing any abnormal drain. With regards to the reported insane battery drain on 14.2, the article stated that this really only applied to much older devices like the 6s and 7. With that said, my sister’s 6s with everything imaginable disabled and optimized for battery life is seeing this issue. Tried restore and setup as new and even tried 14.3 beta 3 and issue persists. 5 minutes of safari browsing drains it 10%. A 10 minute phone call drains it 20%, and idle is draining about 15% per hour. Not good.

Why would you expect to see something that Qualcomm hasn‘t delivered yet?
I haven’t been keeping up to date with Qualcomm. All I know is Apple mentioned support by the end of the year and this is most likely the last update we’ll see.

Wifi calling still not working on this RC for me. iPhone X and carrier Jio. It has just disappeared. I tried resetting network settings to no avail.

Perhaps a "reset all settings" is in order. Not just network. That should be a visible setting option whether you use it or not.

Subscription page still not available with WiFi. Sometimes it is, but 9 of 10 tries it doesn’t work yet. Since years.
