Why would this affect OptChar?
Note: I have it on for beta testing but not for everyday use items. I turned off tracking for Google Maps. Why would I leave it on for Apple Maps?
You need to look at the posters and why. Most here have an observation, have a question, answering a questions, or posting beta/new function results.
I suspect based on my limited interaction, be it Android or iOS, the common “every phone has issues” is a common acceptance.

Take a long thread and start scrolling up to view recent posts. After a few screen loads, Messages pops me right back to the latest entry instead of the area I was scrolling to.
I have seen this before in a couple of 14.x betas. Looks like it is back for 14.4 b2.
12 ProMax does not exhibit this behavior.

Is anyone having trouble adding widgets to smart stacks in this beta?

When receiving messages the notification pop up show only a phone number not a contact name. Anyone else have this issue. Want to know if it’s a beta issue or not. Started happen after b2 install.

a hard reset fixed it for me and the issue has not returned.
I posted this way upthread, but I found that merely opening my Contacts app fixed it instantly.
I found this issue to occur for a contact that was already present in Messages, and the contact was using iMessage technology, not SMS. The issue resolved for me after pinning the contact and unpinning again. This is an odd bug that might not be occurring as commonly for everyone.
If it helps, my contact has a German number.
When viewing photos in gallery, when swiping up to minimize photo the thumbnail flickers a little once minimized. Noticeable on white or light colored photos.
Does anyone get screens that look like this when you try to pick photos to use in an app such as Twitter or Tapatalk? Been happening since the 14.0 betas. Seems finally to be fixed on my iPad Pro (2018 - 11”) but not on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. And, yes, I do select “Select More Photos”. Sometimes I get more photos, sometimes all photos and sometimes no photos.

I did open contacts and do a hard reset. Neither helped. Now that it’s been mentioned, I think the contacts this is happening to are my pinned ones. I will unpin and re-pin to see if that fixes it. I suspect it will.

Having the same issue! Hopefully Beta 3 will fix it once it releases
I get various alerts randomly coming in silently. It's not consistent even across apps. The volumes (ringer/alert and media/speaker) are still messed up and often change to match each other, although it's better than it was.
