iOS 14.4 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Here is a crazy new one.
12 Pro Max

I have Governments Alerts all turned off
AMBER, Emergency, and Public Safety.

However in the past few days, I have had Alerts for missing seniors sound off and post alerts on my device.
I have not had this issue with any other beta. And my 11 ProMax on 14.3 did not have this issue.

Anyone have an idea?
Thought I would ask before submitting feedback.

I have a question ? Has anyone else had the problem of not getting a audio alert when they get a text message,I have had this issue for a long time, and have been hoping one of these beta's would fix it but so far still no luck.

Is there a fix for this or doesn't anyone else have this problem? thank you for any friendly answers.

I had terrible battery life on my 12 Pro Max running iOS 14.3. I upgraded to 14.4 beta 1 and battery life was really good. Now, with 14.4 beta 2 my battery life is shocking again.
I’ve gone from easily getting a day and a half, some times 2 days battery life. To less than 1 day before needing to charge.
iOS 14 and the iPhone 12 Pro Max have both been the worst experience I’ve had with an iPhone for a long time now. Although iOS 13.x was rather buggy throughout its existence, iOS 14.x is much worse. With 14.4 b2 the battery life on my iPhone 12 Pro Max is terrible.

Has anyone had their flashlight stop working? I turned it on today using the lockscreen button and about fifteen seconds later it turned itself off. The button wouldn't work again and the flashlight on the control panel was grayed out. A hard reboot fixed it.

After multiple days of use, I can definitely state that the hang/lag/stutter is not fixed and is more pervasive after several days of use - iPhone 12 Pro w/iOS 14.4 Beta 2 (18D5043d).

Also seeing occasional crashes in Apple apps like Calendar, Mail, Safari and Weather.

What do you mean by lags and stutters? Because I think many people don’t account ‘small’ stutters while doing things like switching things as part of stutters..
Do you have issues switching apps? Like you feel it’s not smooth enough?

When did the animation change for opening apps, to slide in from the right side of the screen? I much preferred the expanding app animation. 11 pro

Update: hard reset fixed the problem.

I very much prefer the slide in from the right. I thought this was a change in 14.3 but upon a reboot, mine went away as well.

I really hope they give us a choice !

Anyone else having issues streaming video? Im connected to 5G, I can access the internet, use FB, text, phone calls, etc. However, when there is a video imbedded in a website, it will not play. If I go to youtube, I can search, but when I go to play a video, it just spins, and never buffers to play. Its that way on several websites, and the app, so it seems like a phone issue. Ive switched to airplane mode and back, with no luck, turned off 5G, and dropped to LTE, no luck there either. Any thoughts?
