The problem has been going on since 2013. In iOS 14.5, Apple said that they fixed the problem with receiving mail. On March 29, the APNS certificate was updated, but this did not solve the problem. If my Internet is turned off, I receive an email to iCloud mail in the standard mail app, including the Internet, when I wake up in the morning, I do not receive notifications. I need to open the mail manually and pull the screen down. If a new email arrives during the time when the Internet is turned on, it pushes through the old notification and a new one comes out. In 2021, push doesn't work for Apple mail.

Unable to create icloud mail. Settings-Apple Id-iCloud-turn on the toggle. I create a login and an error in activation. IOS 14.5.1

I just noticed that the Game Center popup when launching a game is way smaller. When did this get changed?

Anybody notice a bug with 5G functionality now? Getting a weird issue after i updated to 14.5.1 and now my iPhone 12 Pro seems to just randomly drop 5G and revert to LTE even at full battery and with 5G set to be on all the time. I've tried turning cellular off and then back on to see if it corrects itself as i have a 5G tower less than a mile from me but the only thing that seems to "fix" it is if i completely restart the phone and then it seems to just be a matter of time before it does the same thing again

I let my 12 Pro Max update to 14.5.1 overnight. Today the 5g signal indicator has dropped from 4 bars to 2. Speedtest.net results dropped from 600 Mbps before the update to 15 Mbps today.

Update: A hard reset seems to have resolved the 5G connectivity issue.
Update 2: 5G connectivity issue returned. Now just one bar.
Update 3: After performing a Network Reset, 5G is holding at 4 bars. Speedtest reports 647 Mbps download.

Hi, after the update the optimized charging has stopped working. Have you also experienced this?

Hi! I’m on iOS 14.5.1 since it came out. Last week I decided to log-out of my iCloud in order to fix the “Tracking Toggle”. Anyways, since then my Photos Library can’t update properly. I have around 7k images & over 150 videos and as you can see from the screenshot, it says “Updating…”

Is anyone having the same issue? Any updates would be appreciated.

There’s a lot to download to your device, so it will take time. I find that iCloud downloads tend to be faster when the iPhone is not in Low Power mode, is on WiFi and connected to a power source. Oh, and the device is not being used. Try that for an hour, and see if it helps?

Thanks for the reply mate. I've tried to leave the phone plugged in the power adapter with Wi-Fi on all the night, however on the very next morning the results were the same. A friend of mine told me that somehow, after various of different ways his iCloud Photo Library somehow started to upload photos and now it's over 50%. I think there's something wrong with this update. Many users with 11's and 11 Pro's are facing the same issue. I'll try once again this night and will update afterwards.

I've been using iPhone's for as long as I can remember, currently rocking the iPhone 12 for the last 6 months.

I can't get the iPhone to show me a BIG picture from contacts when I receive a call. It shows only a microscopic picture with the name of the contact next to it, and a slider to answer the call. The rest of the screen shows the wallpaper in a faded mode.

I have the banner activated so when I'm using the iPhone and someone calls me I have the banner pop up instead of the full screen call, but when the phone is locked it was supposed to show the big picture... right?

At least my girlfriend gets this functionality in her iPhone 11.

I've tried changing the contact picture, I have chosen my contacts to be mainly synched with iCloud instead of Gmail, nothing seems to fix it.

Any thoughts on this? Am I missing something? It's extremely annoying.

iOS 14.5.1. is the best version I've had yet. Battery life is good, an app is yet to crash and, most notably, the UI is smooth and fluid, possibly the smoothest it's been since iOS 12.

For everything be having the slew of issues with 14.5.X; has anyone upgraded to 14.6 RC to see if the issues are persist? Following the 14.6 RC thread, it looks promising!

for anyone who has not plunged to 14.6 beta/RC, please read my disclaimer!

DISCLAIMER:::
With any beta or release candidate(RC) build, you are essentially dabbling with pre-release software. There is no way to guarantee that the RC build will be the same as the public build. Take iOS 14.2 and 14.3 for example. Now for the good news.

If one installs RC1 today, apple releases RC2 before the public launch, you will get the upgrade as long as you have the dev/public beta profile still installed. For those who already removed the beta profile, they will be stuck on RC1 but will still be offered the public bits when it launched.

My screen time widget isnt working effectively on IOS 14.5., 14.6 rc2, 14.7 b1 in my IPhone 12

Even after using the phone for say 15 minutes, the screen time still shows the same time in widget. Is this happening with others too?

What do you think about it? Is this from privacy policy? The app thumbnail is darkened

are your passwords stored in keychain getting deleted? Normally I get the pop up to use the stored password, but other times it ask me if I want to use a generate one and then it's when the password in keychain disappears
