This implies, Apple if it ever wants to, can fix any bug within a week.
So if our bugs are not getting fixed means, Apple is not interested in fixing them.
They are interested in fixing only big ticket ones.

No, as some bugs are easier to analyze, determine the problem, fix and adequately test. Not all bugs are created equal.

These results are using Geekbench 5. The top result is on iOS 14.2. The bottom two are on this current abomination of a release. Now unless I’m missing something, and it’s very possible, they have absolutely screwed multicore performance. I’ve done the usual restarts but obviously to no effect. This is on my iPhone 12 Pro Max

Its definitely not indexing since its still happening today with similar GB results.

You’ve got the same results as me?

I noticed Brandon Butch’s review on YouTube showed the correct results for Geekbench so it’s obviously not affecting all phones but it amazes me that Apple let this kind of crap out.

I have the same results as you on this build

48 hours out (so indexing is not an issue) and still getting this on Geekbench

Could this be from the battery recalibration? Going out on a limb here but I keep reading that the iPhone 11 is running the recalibration automatically after the update.

My iPhone is running completely fine now. It was awful after rebooting but I assume that it will be slow for up to a day after updating the operating system. My iPhone 6S is fine as well. Same with iPad Mini 5. iCave Dave reported a problem on a specific iPhone model - something Max.

I am getting the same low results as you on my iPhone 12!

I did another test: I ran a test in low power mode and actually got HIGHER results in multi-core (but lower single-core, but that was expected 😆).
With low power mode I am getting 669 in single-core and 3010 multi-core 🤪😂

I’ve become more and more convinced every day that Apple are going out of their way to break all records to produce the worlds most **** software.

Thanks for confirming anyway. I’m sure that 14.6 will fix this issue and bring in a plethora of others!

Have you tried the beta so far? I have read on Reddit that some of the 14.5 bugs were fixed in 14.6, including battery life issues. Not sure about performance issues though yet.

You know, I’m really tempted to try 14.6. 14.5 and 14.5.1 are just rubbish at the moment, certainly for me anyway. Are you on it?

Not currently. Still using 14.4.2, didn’t update due to all of the issues that came to light. If I was on 14.5 with the issues mentioned, I would probably try 14.6 beta 2. Personally, I am probably going to skip 14.5 completely. Lol

Yep, probably a very good idea to avoid it altogether!
